They are covered, which is why I assumed it would be alright to paint on them (them being the covers). Any reccomendations for type of paint, or is spray probably the economical way to go to do such a small area?

Hey guys, I'm just about to pick up a custom jazzmaster with original soapbar pups, but I think cosmetically the thing would look better with different color pups (its obviously refin'ed so they don't match up all that well). Is this going to effect my tone at all and what is the best type of paint to use for the job? Thanks
