  1. Brian, are you a chain smoker.. cause in almost every post you have that smiley smoking a cig. gosh... what a p-i-m-p
  2. Symetry is one of the basic major foundations of art, furniture, vehicles, architecture, and most importantly....nature. To go against symetry, or rather to deliberately go against "flowing designs" as you've done, is a brave move, and cant always be pulled off. You havent pulled it off in this case, in fact i would go as far as saying that thing is hideous. Dude, throw that thing away, it is not centred, and just looks ... wrong. You dont seem to have a centre line on the body, which is the most important line you can ever draw. Without it, you are guessing. Please post a pic of the plans your using. My bet is that your flying blind into this one. its called the yin, and the yang. I think he did alright, its not that bad for a first. I say finish it, and hold on to it for sentiment.. besides.. go for sound not looks.
  3. Yeah, in a post i made earyler i was talking about my neibourgh, he just siad i could have his old bandsaw!! but a small part on it is broken and i have to order a new one before i can get it. very inexpensive part (i hope) but thats pritty sweet, we should all ask our neibourghs for old tools
  4. lol, ill probley be using tapewounds anyway.
  5. I read it wasnt very safe to ground the bridge, do to electrical shock when playing. Is that somthing we should worrie about?
  6. It acutally has good lryics as well. If you actually listen to what joey ramone, and jello biafra were screaming about, you would bust a gut.
  7. nah i think he is saying that some peoples guitars LOOK like they only used a box cutter, as in people make shitty cuts with expensive equpitment
  8. forgot to mention. i can send some cash over your way for some plans.
  9. not to be a pest... but can i get some jazz bass plans from anybody?? i know about the ones on MIMF but they require a credit card .. i dont have a credit card. and the templates are just too expensive ( i re-evaluated my budgets)
  10. nice! wow, thats a whole lot of router.
  11. Hey, is it worth it to buy the jazz bass templates on the internet for 40 bucks. I can get the plans for 20 and make my own, but it seems like the pre cut templates would just be eayser.
  12. haha and a whole lot of attitude
  13. um this one, if you become and advance suporter. you can look at the ones on MIMF but to get the fullsize model and **** you need to pay. other than that i dont know of any. And apparently no one else does eaither, cause i havnt heard of any. if you do find some, let us in would you ? best of luck in your search
  14. nah, the whole thing kinnda slides off. it dosnt look really expensive tho. he said that it broke when he was unloading it from his truck, he grabbed it as a handle and it broke off. I think i could use the thing with out the part, but my pops would raise hell about saftey.
  15. Well, Ive stumbled upon a free band saw that my neighbor has and never uses, he said that I could have it for free if I can find a certin part to it. The part that is broken is the blade guide (i think?) its the peice that is adjustable and goes over the saw blade and can move up and down. its a 14'' bandsaw made by rockwood. If anyone has some info, or knows the exact name of the part and where i could order it, it would be very helpful.
  16. well, you put a flame on it after all jk I would have saved it, put it on a wall or somthing... maybe finished it and sold it to a person with slightly askewed vision.
  17. yah, for metal to wood ive heard epoxy as well.
  18. It would all depend on the qualtie of the guitar, and who your selling to. but ive never sold one so i dont really know from experence.
  19. It would be better to use a decent wood so that you dont waist your friends time on the freting. (friends dont let friends build poplar necks) and if you dont have enough money, just rob a liquer store.. I promis it will work
  20. I use to play punk all i had was an ibanez 4 string, into an ibanez 120watt amp. And a boss phat head overdrive pedal... yah, we rocked :/
  21. I was searching for wood near me, and i found some in ocala http://www.woodfinder.com/wdf/vendor.phtml?id=11178
