Ye i see what your saying.
Finished the wiring today. will post pic soon
-
When i put the spring into the cup it will make it fair bit higher.
-
Also ive installed wilkinson EZ LOK tuners on the guitar & im wondering if anyone could help me with how you string them.
-
The bridge is slightly recessed into the body about 4mil to make up for the bushing rims.
-
I think you should shut your mouth.
Anyway here are sum more pics. Attached the BIgsby & Gotoh bridge. EMG select pickups. Wilkinson Tuners.
-
Well before i finish it im going to put some cream binding aroud the outside of the body. Then for the finish id like some kind of opaque light blue colour all over with some kind of print/picture on it.
-
Yes i did cut the body entirely free hand.

Ok
For the truss rod i used just a standard curved rod (which can be found here: Visit My Website
To make the hole for the truss rod adjustement nut my dad helped me make a jig to hold the drill bit at the right angle.
To shape the neck first off i cut it to the right depth. I then drew on the shape. & finally i shaped it using spokeshaves & scrapers.
& RGman what makes you think i bought the fretboard.
-
Yes everyone I built the neck, unfortunately i havnt taken any photos of me working on so i cannot prove myslef.
besides im 13 where would i get the kind of money to buy a neck.
-
Just because my neck actually looks good dusnt mean you have to go accusing me of purchasing it off ebay.

Ye ive just ordered some scrapers of Stew Mac to round off all edges on the guitar.
So basically its an attachment to let the strap holer piece sit where it would about on a strat.
-
Ye thanx guys
For the pickups i bought two EMG select pickups basically beacause their cheap (working on a tight budget). When i get some more money ill probably upgrade to somthing nicer.
For all the electrical needs i bought one of those Les Paul wiring kits from Stew Mac.
& for the bridge im using as gotoh tom bridge with a Bigsby B5 bridge.
I guess thats pretty weird EMGs normally on a metal guitar with a bigsby which can be found on hollow body jazz guitars.

Thanks geo
Id appreciate any other comments coming from people who have previously commented in this forum.

Sort of in the wrong section here pall.
Looks pretty nice though.
Seems like a genuine telecaster

Dude are you going to charge your friends for this couse this is gonna cost you some big bucks?
-
Has anyone ever heard of having to circuits in your electric guitar.
Lets say you used 3 humbuckers.
Could you wire the bridge & neck pickup together on one circuit & then wire the middle one on a second circuit.
You would then of course need to selectro switches & input jacks & a fair few pots so there would be the problem of space.
-
Ok Ok.
Any way just attached the neck.
Its maple with a 25.5 inch scale & rosewood fingerboard (obviously a copy of a strat neck).
-
Yes it might be a tad uncomftable to play on your lap. A Flying V has the same problem which is a massively produced guitar & it obviously didnt bother the creator. When I designed the guitar I knew full well the guitar would have a similar problem but it was the design I created.looking around the project section on this sight I have seen bearly any original designs.

Ok thanx everyone

Ive really enjoyed my first build & i'm quite impressed with how it turned out. Ive learnt some valuable lessons in guitar building & look forward to my next build.
