Ive really enjoyed my first build & i'm quite impressed with how it turned out. Ive learnt some valuable lessons in guitar building & look forward to my next build.

  2. Ok

For the truss rod i used just a standard curved rod (which can be found here: Visit My Website

To make the hole for the truss rod adjustement nut my dad helped me make a jig to hold the drill bit at the right angle.

To shape the neck first off i cut it to the right depth. I then drew on the shape. & finally i shaped it using spokeshaves & scrapers.

& RGman what makes you think i bought the fretboard.

  3. Ye thanx guys

For the pickups i bought two EMG select pickups basically beacause their cheap (working on a tight budget). When i get some more money ill probably upgrade to somthing nicer.

For all the electrical needs i bought one of those Les Paul wiring kits from Stew Mac.

& for the bridge im using as gotoh tom bridge with a Bigsby B5 bridge.

I guess thats pretty weird EMGs normally on a metal guitar with a bigsby which can be found on hollow body jazz guitars.

  4. Has anyone ever heard of having to circuits in your electric guitar.

Lets say you used 3 humbuckers.

Could you wire the bridge & neck pickup together on one circuit & then wire the middle one on a second circuit.

You would then of course need to selectro switches & input jacks & a fair few pots so there would be the problem of space.

  5. Yes it might be a tad uncomftable to play on your lap. A Flying V has the same problem which is a massively produced guitar & it obviously didnt bother the creator. When I designed the guitar I knew full well the guitar would have a similar problem but it was the design I created.looking around the project section on this sight I have seen bearly any original designs.
