Looking to swap out the boring bog stock 7 piece Fender body I have with something with a little more character...
What have you guys got?
I don't mind how old it is, how many dings, dents, cracks etc
Alternatively, if someone can build me one too...shoot me a pm
I'm in Sydney, Australia

Has any got any information on sanding down a standard Fender poly finish to a satin like nitro-esque looking finish?
I've found this before;
http://www.nymphusa.com/tele/relic_strat_std_e1.asp
Bit hesitant, is he talking about 2400grit-3200grit wet/n/dry papers?
I really hate the high-gloss finish on my MIM tele

Those reflector knobs look awesome!
Where did you get them? Are they split shaft only?

Noice, has a cool retro vibe happening...

It's a coiltapped HS2

It's for sale already?

Why are you selling it as a Washburn if you built it yourself?

Looks like a lobster claw! Very nice.

Looks great, the low e is too far off the headstock though, can you install a string tree or something to fix it?
-
Hmm, im not sure cutting out the cavities from the back like that was such a good idea, because the pickups arent really "touching the wood" and wouldn't sustain/resonate very well.
I suppose it will have the same sort of thin jangly sort of strat sound... your guitar body is pretty much a front to back strat now that i think about it.
Also are you using a tremolo bridge as a hardtail?!

Nah, they are nice people, i've ordered about $150 worth of stuff from them every now and again.
That LP body looks horrible though.

Oooh, i like that left horn, looks alot like the one on my Schecter

How does the Tone Zone sound?
I remember reading it doesnt work well in Mahongany, but better in Basswood.
I love that fingerboard! Big fan of single inlays.

Hi,
Just wondering will it be possible to paint over a guitar that has been finished in tung oil?
How can I go about preparing it for paint?
It has about 4 rubbed/sanded on coats of tung oil.
Thanks.

Hey all,
I have a Fender Strat neck here, and I need to attach Kluson tuners to it.
I have the tuners here ready, but the little metal ferrules that go into the holes don't fit, they are a little too big.
Can I just force them in lightly with a mallet or do I have to ream them?
I was told this neck takes Klusons though! Both are genuine Fender.

How did you paint the pickups? (cover the polepieces?)
-
holy crap, thats a nice finish
-
That's a helluva guitar, and I've seen your videos on musicianforums. Heaps good maen~

Hey, it looks great!
But I too don't really like how the binding ends.
Also is the mid pickup ring touching the bridge? Or is it the camera angle?

Does that mean, when they are tuned to EADGBE, the strings break because of the tension?

Ok, spent an hour giving it a good allover with some 0000 and car wax, is there something im missing?
Starting to look nice and mattish, but there's some very fine scratches now, how do I get rid of that?
I've been scrubbing it along the grain (vertically)... that's the correct way, yes?
