I say add a piece to the bottom and turn it into a parker with a reverse head stock. Not a gerat picure but here.

Doubt it would work with paper very much. I would however say that you could do it the same way as the head stock decal.

It would probably be easier to do a normal 3 way between them then two on/on/on switches to split it either way i.e. south coil, full, north coil. Thats only 3 switches

so I finally finished a guitar, I strung it up with the strings I haid still missing a D and a high E, but any ways I think I have a major problom the pottom screw on the nut wont go in I think I over tightened it first time I tuned up and stripped it I think I may have done the same to the top screw aswel!!!

Any body able to help me? What should I do? How hard is it to replace a locking nut? I already filled and redrilled the the spring claw , I realy dont want to do it again with the nut?

Cheers I thought that without having them they may damage the finsh and things of that nature.

Anyone know where I can get my hands on new screws in Europe? Ill have a look in town tomorrow, the ones on it now arent very long anyway.

Im finishing off a guitar I was given in a half built state and has some flaws with the work done to date. The trem claw screw where put in crooked and now when the claw is out far enough to let the springs reach the trem block it sits too high and the back plate cant go on. I was wondering if I could possabley take out the screws and fill the hole with wood glue and toothpicks then screw the screws back in correctly? Will this effect the stability of the trem?

Also when putting on the strap locks I forgot to put on the pads would I have to refill those holes in the same way if I took out the screws and reinstalled the pins?

So what I take from all this is that my best bet is using nitro rattle cans doing only a few thin layers then rub with wire wool? Is this right?

Sorry forgot to ask, I will be using spray cans or something rub on or brush on just wondering what would be the best type of paint/laquer to use for a real fast playing finish on a maple neck? (nitro/poly etc.) Can you get a poly can?

Cheers I will be staying away from that then. Someone said on here that for a fast finish that gives good protection you should use just one or two layers of polyurathane (sp?) then use some 0000 grit wire wool on the final finish what do you think?

Would that give enough protection in Ireland where the weather changes drematically and can be very damp?

Sorry bout digging up an old topic but just wondering what deft is like on necks, does it give a fast finish?

Also does anyone know if you can get it in Europe?

Finaly do you guys use the clear wood finish or the Defthane Platinum Protection?

Normaly its either 25.5" or 24.625" which is often refered to as 24.75"

It is the measurement from the nut to the bridge.

I dont realy see any problem with the current site.

This is the way I was looking at doing it for my Sg. I wasn't sure it would work because I have never seen it done. One difference I was looking at though was leaving about an inch or so at the back so that there is no join lines at the back and you wont see a difference in the woods. It also means tha if you put a top on it it is stilll only a 2 piece instead of a 3 piece like it would be with a normal neck through.

Funny you mention bloodwood. I plan on using that to do inlays with. Problem is you cant get it over here in Ireland so Im gonna have to ship it over from the US. This fingerboard is costing me bout $80 in wood. $40 for the fingerboard preslotted including shipping and then $20 plus shiping for the blood wood!

Anyone know anywhere in Europe selling bloodwood. I checked on google and the main site but couldnt find any.
