  4. Hi Axo151,

I've heard of some stuff called zip strip. for stripping paint. as for wiring options my korean strat has the standard 5 way switch and I've added 3 mini switches and a single volume and no tone circuit. 2 of the mini switches are where the tone controls use to be and I drilled a hole in between them for the 3rd mini switch. my pickups are as follows

    NECK: Dimarzio HS 1

    MIDDLE: Dimarzio HS 2

BRIDGE: Duncan hot rails (originaly a neck pickup)

I've found this pickup setup balances quite well, now on to the switching..the first mini swtch will give me the bridge OR the neck pickup no matter what position the 5 way strat is in. the next mini switch is a phase switch for the middle pickup and the last mini switch will let me select either coil on the hot rails. this is the most versitile system that I've ever had!! I can go from country twang telecaster sound to a thick creamy les paul sound. and every thing in between I can even get and awsome david gilmore sound.. sorry for any typo's as its 1:30 am here LOL!!! B)

    Bill

  5. Hi Soap,

a 2P 5T stands for 2 poles ( hot ) 5 throw (positions) it is a rotary switch and it has 2 sections with a total of 12 terminals. 1 center ( hot ) and 5 on each section. I hope this clears up the switch question. my Lead II the original switches died and it only had 1 pickup and a 3 saddles and it had a warmoth neck that had a broken neck screw. and it was missing a few ferrules. well I fixxed the neck, and I got some all parts saddles and I had a friend make me a stainless steel bridge plate. then I put on some grover keys and I added a duncan hot rails in the bridge and got new ferrules. and its not too bad now. I 've got a total of $225 into it.. basicly I'm just looking for some new switching options BTW what parts do you you have left over from your Lead II ???

    May Jesus bless you

    Sincerely,

    Bill

  7. Hi Stratman,

A few years ago I bought a Fender lead II it had a warmoth neck and I got it for $100 .. the only catch was there was a neck screw broke off deep in the neck and another one that was stripped out so I took and cut dowels and I used carpenters wood glue and it has been fine .. it has worked for over 5 yrs and its still holding just fine..please understand there is a lot more detail here. but at least you know it can be done...

matter of fact I'm going to refinish it within the next 6 months ( blue ) please undeerstand there is a lot more detail here .. I hope this helps ya B)

    May Jesus bless you

    Sincerely,

    Bill
