Personally, I think with Hendrix's spontaneous Woodstock version, with it's timing, power and slightly cynical feeling for the listener in the context of vietnaam, it will probably never be topped.

What is with the look of intense concentration on Joes face? He looks like he is playing some super complicated passage. Give me a break. He basically played the thing straight, except for the noted auto-wah.

my saw

I just picked it up last night and I have it pretty much assembled, but I have to do the final setup work yet. It has 8" of resaw capacity so I should be able to do any solid body tops I might want to do. Even accoustic sides, but I wasn't sure about backs? Looks like I might be a little short for backs and tops...oh well. I can think of a million other uses...I'm pretty excited.

So far everything seems to be of excellent quality, except for the assembly instructions. I'll update this post after I have some more time on the saw.

I am having a total tune-o-matic brain fart. Which side should be set to the scale length...treble or bass? It seems like I remember the treble is at the exact scale length and the bass side slants back making it a little longer. Can someone confirm this for me?

Man! That guitar went for over $200 with shipping. You can get a brand new one that has never been broken for like $350. Doesn't make sense to me.

Can you tint it with color tone dyes from stew mac? Do the build coats seem to burn into each other like nitro?

Had some time to do some more work this weekend. I put a roundover on the mahogony back of my guitar.

I have been looking at this saws big brother.

14" craftsman Pro bandsaw

I've read pretty good reviews of both saws. Seem to be a good value. I wouldn't think that it would be a huge deal to get blades, even with the odd sizes. Most places that sell decent blades (timberwolf etc.) make custom blades and it doesn't seem to cost very much extra.

My question is how much resaw capacity do you need for acoustic tops and backs. Seems like it would be more than 8"...right?
