I just stripped the paint from my old guitar and I discovered that it was pine.

im taking apart my old guitar and stripping the paint. How can i take off the pickups without messing them up?

I have the back and most of the front stripped. just arpund the pickups and the knobs ints not sanded. It's kinda funny because on a previous thread of mine i asked if pine would be okay to make my first guitar out of and everyone said no, and this guitar is pine. lol

So how can i get the pickups off?

also, how can i get the knobs off? they're the metal ones.

i personaly would sell it for the $100 and then use that money to build the custom and be able to invest a little more into it.

That's just me.

i dont have much where i live. the closed thing like that would be about an hour or 2 away.

i called the local lumber places and they only had poplar.

So i guess im using poplar.

i may also get basswood

would i be able to find that at a home depot or low's??

I know that the best wood for building guitar bodies is mahogony and rosewood, but they are both really expensive.

would pine or oak be okay? I dont want to spend alot of money on my first build, so i was considering these woods.

So, are they okay to use and which one is better?

wouldn't the would already have to be bent to get heat blanket on there like how it is and then get it to ben perfectly how you want it? If you could explain this to me i would appreciate it. Sorry for being such a noob.

my friend and i want to make an acoustic guitar but we can't find any plans or tutorials on how to shape the wood, like curwing the sides, and everything else needed to make an acoustic guitar.
