  1. Hey guys, got a quick question: I am currently working on a "from scratch" guitar that is melding the Strat, Lp, and Alembic styles, however I have researched and recieved conflicting information about how to calculate the positioning of two humbuckers over the course of a 25.5" scale. I don't want to just copy the pickup layout of the Lp, given the new parameters of scale length. Any info anyone could provide would be greatly appriciated. TIA N8rofwyo(Nate Robinson)
  2. I would be very interested in a segment on bleed stop. You never know what kind of tricks ya might pick up. And - of course - in finishing any trick can be a lifesaver! I'll certainly give it some serious attention.
  3. four sash clamps and an additional four bar clamps of two foot length should be enough to get you started, although as our esteemed colleague mentioned you can never have too many. And I agree with him again in that the "quick clamps" don't get the job done. Like the rest of us you will end up buying clamps on sale or "inheriting" them, so start with the basics - the rest will just show up in the shop over time.
