i think that would be very do able. just as long as u know ur scale lenght and where to put ur bridge. Other then that its just gluein , sandin and stainin. Let us know how it turns out.

Well, i just decided to pull the fretbaord off the neck, i just didnt feel right with that first glue up. I gotta rewire some led connections that broke while i was sliding the putty knife under there then clean the extra glue off the neck and fretboard and try it again..... Well keep you guys posted.

sand the actually led. The led its self is under about 1/4 of clear plastic. I just took a radiusing block for the fretboard, and work my way up grits up to 2000 to get all the scratches out, plus makes ur board really shine when ur done any other questions? just let me know

well fretboard looks good other then a couple of tiny spots where the board i guess didnt pressure from the clamp, really weird idk. Anyway im deciding weather to stick a little glue in the spot and try to pull it together with a clamp or heat the glue up and try it all over again...

Board is glued, i will get a couple of pics up first thing in the morning. Next thing to do is finish sanding the neck, then glue the mirror on the front of the jem body.

Well, im going to glue the board right now, i had to replace an led at the last minuet cause i got it to how with the soldering iron and burnt half the bulb, but i fixed it and everything is looking great.

hmmm well this is a pickle, i just realized that when i put the floyd nut on, the holes for the screws to bolt the nut on fall on half wood have truss rod channel... Im not sure how im giong to fix this yet, any idea?

haha, no he is right they arent straint, center got off when i drilled the holes... One of my mistakes....

Well got some progress done today. I glued my truss rod the other night, today i dirmeled otu some spots so the leds fight in the neck. I also drilled a couple of holes in the back of the neck for the led wires to pass through. Tomarrow im going go glue my fretbaord, for now here is links to a couple of pics of the fretboard on the neck with the leds lit.

i dont know if ur heart is set on those pups, but personally i would use some different ones. Cant wait to see how it turs out thought, good luck and have fun building .

Well i figure out how im going to do, i cant believe i didnt think of this before. Im going to glue the fretboard then tape off the binding with some masking tape and hit the neck with some 60 till it gets close then work my way up grits, when i get into the higher grits i will take the tape off and sand the binding along with the neck and work its shine up.

Yeah thats what i figured to do, my binding is peraliod plastic. The binding could acutally prolly be sanded on a little bit, its still kinda think. I dont know, its need to be sanded on a little bit cause i think there are parts that have a little over spillige of glue from when i glued the binding to the board. This is only my 2nd guitar, 1st with binding so im learning the steps of process lol.

Well hmm, let me see if i can explain this better, i have my fretboard tappered and my neck round, i did them sepereate. Now im going to glue my fretboard to my neck, but the neck is about 1/16 of an inch bigger then the fretboard on each side. I was wondering if i should sand the sides down with 60 to get rid of the extra wood, or glue the fretboard on then sand it down... combine this post with the things i said in my last post, hopefully it makes since. Ill go home and take some pics and post if it still doesnt make since.

Im getting to the point where im about ready to attach my fretboard to me neck. My neck is slightly wider then my fretboard. I have binding on my fretboard. What im wondering is if i should sand my neck without the fretboard with some 60 and 100 and kinda guess match, or go ahead and glue my fretboard on then sand with 60 and to get and exact match and really scratch my the binding, then sand the binding up too 2000 to make it shine and get all the scratches out. Or is there another way to do it them im missing?

Awsome illistration, helped me a lot, although i am still kinda confussed on how to determine the bridge hegith, also while we are on the subject of bridges what are they angled?

I was going to use and epoxy based resin glue, but i use this instead. Its really strong enough to hold the truss rod from going any where but its also easy to work with if i had to remove the truss rod from the neck.

Thats the main sites supply page, everyone has bought stuff from a lot of those place, including the guitar parts depot. It would kinda pointless for everyone to post everything they bought from any where they bought it and there opinion because what some people think is good or what some people like, others hate. Its the box kind, i didnt really glue it, i used a very little amount of bath tub silicone, a little at each end just to make it stay put and not move. Here is the truss rod im using.

Alright well truss rod is glued in its place. Its currently raining so i dont know when i will beable to work on my guitars again, next on the list is to drill a hole in the heel of the neck to run the led wires through, then glue the fretboard on. Ill keep you guys posted and try to get some pics.
