    Mockup

the final product will resemble this, minus kahler and ebony skunkstripe

as for progress so far, i have ordered a 27" , 28 fret gabon ebony fretboard from Eriks Fretboard Extravaganza hahaha

when that arrives, i will finish the neck up and route the body for a neck pocket, and get this thing glued up.

only things i have left to buy are some tuners and a flame top, which i should be getting within the next month.

so there it is, i appreciate all critism, but please do take into acount that this work is extremely rough and nowhere near what the final product will be,

    thanks

  2. I have an EMG 707 and 81-7 for sale. Would like to sell as a pair. Includes two sets of 25k pots - one set unused, one prewired strat-style jack with battery connector (unused), two quick connect harnesses with a decent amount of lead left, and original packaging with boxes and instructions. I don't have the original mounting screws - I used 4-40 machine screws to mount them, and I will include those.

The pickups are in fine shape & have negligible string wear on top. Nothing wrong with them. They're only about 1.5 years old and were lightly used - I just found out the hard way that I don't like the EMG sound.

Looking for $150 shipped to CONUS. Can post pics on request, but there's not much to see. Thanks!

im very very interested in these but im in the uk, could you possibly provide a shipping price to manchester uk ?

also sorry to be a pain but could you provide a picture of them ?

  3. well ive been on the search for individual string bridges, the ones used on hardtail multiscales for a while now, and i found that maker of the abm ones has passed away, so they are no longer in production, so i was wondering are there any places (besides allparts, who are charging $65 each for them) that sell them or another company or person that sells individual string bridges for guitars ?

thankyou, and sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

  4. Updateski! You may recall that I had trouble finding yellow plastic rod for sidemarkers. The solution was found on the High Street in the form of a miniature version of the classic UK kids game - Ker-Plunk!

It also means I have sidemarker material in all kinds of colours for future projects. Awesome! The red material should look pretty cool on the semi-hollow 8-string also. Will post photos after the binding has been levelled and fretwork complete. Will be clearing the neck soon also.

awsome build man, i love everything about this thing.

and very imaginative finding in the form of ker plunk side dot markers, that made me laugh quite a bit.

  5. It depends on if it gets picked up by customs or not. Erik most likely declares the value of the items being sent for insurance and business declaration purposes. Realistically, not many small/flat packages DO get picked up in my experience, although it's best to consider that it might.

I'm up for getting three boards delivered. Two rosewood plus a couple of extras which i'm going to email Erik about. Still in?

i certainly am, how will my boards be distributed to me when they arrive though ?

  6. I'm going to get 2-3 boards made up by Erik, so if you want to do a group order we can split postage. We may have to pay import duty and VAT however. A necessary evil.

It's worth doing it to get a the dimensions, scale and radiusing correct plus the price of Erik's ebony is very very good! PM me.

hey, im definatly interested in combining shipping, just not sure how it will work out exactly haha.

    according to http://customs.hmrc.gov.uk/channelsPortalW...tyType=document

if the item is less than £18 then no import duty is charged, so maybe its cheaper to have 1 or 2 delivered.

  7. youve got to be kidding me. this thread is EXACTLY what your looking for. you can get it any way in almost any wood you want. all you had to do was look a few topics under this one in this section.

hey thanks, postage seems abit expensive though.

if theres anyone in the UK that offers such an exelent service as the TS in that thread, then please do reply.
