Hey guys I just went out and got some wood to start going for a Gibson or a Jackson guitar....stewmac has the plans for iot but is there anywhere I can get more plans?

I know im just wondering for future reference if you guys sell em and what not any pics of those guys guitars?

ok im not sure what this is called but i want to do it on my guitar....on my schector the body is elavated at parts...making the body look pretty sweet if anyone can tell me how to do this b4 I start cutting my body itd b cool, and what tool to use also

Hey guys is it possible, or does it happen often that you guys sell and buy custom guitars made by eachother? If so what price ranges are available? I'm starting to build some pretty radical designs and I'm just wondering what kinda capitol I could get form them...

is that an actually built guitar or is it just a program of a prototype? f so is that program up for sale?

Thnx, but what are the basics? lol I figured that a drill, dremmel (saw) w/ a router attachment and some sand paper and of coarse when im finished, the paint and what not but as for builing..are rasps and files very important for my first? My design is actually kinda difficult....but not at the same time there are some curves and itll more than likely be flat...so what do you think?

Hey all I ve just gotten finished figuring everything I need for my first guitat and it'll cost around 600 I think but im sure im missing something lol but the question I have is how much are the tools? i figured around 550 but I've been told others only paid aroun 200, i went to the link containing tools for the job but do I need all of that? I picked one of each from each catagory but its still 550....so any help?

What tools am I going ot need to build from scratch? I've basically figured everything I need and even a design, but I dont know what olls n such, my brother suggests a dremmel, to start but other than that i just need to know every tool I need, im prolly not doin enlay n what not..

thats what i actually thought it was so sweet i also thought it was somethiung else but oh well and i know i need to learn thats why im here and also one of the reasons I want to build my own. is there anyone on this site thats has full plans to a cheap guitar that i can just buy supplys for and follow their plans and get one built so i have an idea of what im doind?

I've been playing for about 6 years...lol but thats what ive been doing is just playing, ive heard of some of the stuff but ive just been concentrating on the playing and not knowing my instrument so thats y it seems as if I know little but Ive never actually tryed to learn what it takes to build one....basically I am not even sure what a bridge is!...kinda embarassing but i think i do but i want to make sure, the nut thing I still dont understand is it where when the strings come out and go up the fretboard...is it the part b4 the pickups? this is so embarassing lol

yes and ill do the prs style scale,and i assume i put n my own inlays? if so can i customize the fretboard? i.e; little to no dots and maybe a design or two...what else should i remember for what i want so i can gte every aspect down right?

oh yea, how much is this going to cost me? from what ive told you? fretboard i want rosewood I think, and for the rest I just want i t to be sturdy and to sound good.....how much are the tools and what tools do I need?

well I'd like some seymore duncan pickups possibly the metal(rock n rock) humbuckers, and id prolly want a 24 1/2 fret board prs is a very nice style but id like diamond tuners and if youve ever seen an omen i want my guitar to feed the strings like that ....ive been reading and there is a lot of technical jargin im not sure of but im sure ill pick up on it, im not sure what u mean by scale tho

Hey guys I'm new to the site as of 15 mins ago, and I know absolutley nothing about building guitars, dont know what style is best for learning, but I want to build something like my Schector Omen 6, so if you guys could give me tips on an easy guitar design, cheap wood, pick-ups, etc..thats be great I'm looking to start soon and maybe make a career out of it (if the rock star dream fails of coarse!)
