I don't do gold anything.
cuz you aint a Penguin's fan
-
i got the maple idea from judas priest
i had no idea it didnt inlay well :yikes: is this only if I do it, or if its all done by computer too?
Ebony with white MOP, honestly. If we're talking black/white theme. 'course, It would take a lot for me to vote for a maple fingerboard on much of anything.the reason for the gold MOP is cuz all hardware will be gold, including fretwire
-
argh, cant decide for myself so far...guitar body is black/white theme

but gahh, me messing around with all my settings while trying to figure out the wah problem has ruined my tone!
man, its gonna be a long night
-
yep, that was the problem!
-
it might be a simple problem... did you leave the input plugged in between last thursday and today? because htat will eat up the battery, and you might have a dead battery.
yes, i did leave the input in, but it was switched off
brand new battery though...and the power light is on..
ill go try it though right now
-
okay so i just got a used Morley Bad Horsie off ebay, it worked fine the first day i used it (last thursday)
today i fire it up and am ready to give it a lil more use and fool around w/ it, and i noticed that whenever i activate the wah, the volume goes way down and its pretty much a dead signal
why did this happen?
at first i thought it was my signal chain and that i did something wrong....but now i dunno....it powers up, sounds fine when unactivated, but when i step on the thing it all goes quiet
-
i cant believe one guys obviously wrong post about 1mm string height has spawned 4 pages of arguing whether its even possible....god
-
doenst sound to "upbeat" to be metal to me
sounds very traditional, IM/JP'ish to me
I LOVE IT (the guitars) the bass/drums need work

the body joins in at fret 19
you're right though, i guess noone can tell me...
but to have good access does it all have to be 100% neck, or will something like the angle i have going on here be a big problem?
-
why would i have an access problem with frets 12-18??

MAILMAN: one more post off topic and you will get a 2 week vacation. Keep the thread on guitars and keep your opinions in the off topic section.
you're gonna ban me from the site for talking about fedex and guitars in a fedex-guitar thread?
man, thats harsh
-
It will be all about how it was packaged when it was shipped.
Not to be a butt, this is about guitars in progress not companies.
wrapped in bubble wrap, inside of an HSC, surrounded in foam, inside a thick guitar box marked "fragile, guitar" all over it
the fact that it was lost in transit for over 30 days and beat to hell doesnt help Fedex's side of the story much either
-
thats gotta be one of the best violins ive seen on this site!
-
i meant nickle guys, i dont know why i suggested copper :-p
-
i hate fedex with a passion. they break guitars and deny claims for no reason. court will be fun.
Yeah, especially when you lose
i cant lose
its just that im probably too lazy to keep the process going

this thread is about the fedex guitar not the company
unsolicited comments like that will get you a 2 week vacation
Consider this your warning

i know SS frets are supposed to have "longer life" but is that the only advantage?
and what kind of life are we talking about in comparisson?
cuz i was thinking about putting gold frets on my new guitar, but they are regular copper....
so what i'm really askin is if i get regular frets, will they wear down and give me fret buzz soon? cuz in all honestly every guitar ive ever had has had some fret buzz and i just want to avoid that completely, so i just want the low-down on the two fret materials
-
i have a dimarzio PAF on my beater ibanez
i never use neck pickups, but in this case, its 1000x better than the stock bridge pup on the ibanez

i was hoping you'd keep the crotch straight lines rather than the curved rhoads style
either way, kickass guitar bro
