  1. Just got my ESP KH-2 in tonight. It arrived out of tune and as I'm trying to tune it it just won't stay in tune. I start with the top 2 strings and tune them and lock the nut. I then move to the middle and bottom 2 strings and do the same thing. But by that time all the rest are out of tune and it is starting to frustrate me.

I never had this problem with my strat. The strat had the non-recessed Floyd but the ESP does have a recess. Is that what's giving me problems. Also there are 3 springs on the inside of the tremelo route, do I need 5? Any help would be appreciated. I am new to the Floyd Rose thing and if I'm asking a stupid question please forgive me. Thanks for any help... :D

  2. You could try a print shop for the letters like a Kinkos or something similar. I know they sell adhesive sheets and they could probably just print the lettes the exact size you want. I bought sme plain adhesive paper for my RC car but sold it before I had a chance to try it out. Just might be worth a shot though. :D

  3. I went with bolt on just because when it comes to customizing and repairs it is a much easier process. If you want to paint the body, you just take the neck off. If the neck bows or cracks, you just get a new neck. That's pretty much why Leo liked them too. :D

  4. Here are some pictures...

    Hamer Stellar 1

    Hamer Stellar 2

The guitar was made in Korea. It has a PRS kind of shape with a mahogany body and a silky oak top with a nice cherry sunburst finish. 2 Duncan Designed Humbuckers and a 3 way switch with a 24 fret neck. I really like this guitar but with a Les Paul DC and an ESP KH-2 on the way, I really don't have a need for it anymore. It is pictured in a case but will come in a gig bag. Thanks

    Gibson Pickups 1

    Gibson Pickups 2

This is a really nice pickup combination. I was able to get a nice AC/DC Aerosmith type sound with these. I actually really liked the way these sounded, but in order to get that Metallica sound I wanted I went with EMGs. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks...

  5. The pickups came out of my '99 Les Paul DC that I put EMGs into. The 492R has about 8" of wire on it and the '57T has about 5". Gold covers on both and in good shape. I will sell both for $75 plus shipping.

The guitar is a Hamer Stellar with 2 Duncan Designed Humbuckers. I put a tone pros locking tune-o-matic/stop tail on it. I will sell this for $225 with the tone pros on it or $200 with the original on it. Prefer to ship in US but can probably do international if you pay actual shipping. Also, I am set up for Paypal. I will post pics when I get home tonight. Thanks...

  6. Where are you located Wes? It would be cool to try and do a video lesson type thing. I don't know how we would arrange it, but I have access to a digital video camera and am an editor at a tv station here in Phoenix, so I could shoot and edit it. Might not work, but thought I would suggest it.

  7. I picked up guitar to do one thing: play Master of Puppets.

well have ya made it?you don't cheat do ya?it's gotta be downpicking ya know.

I see I'm not the only Metallica inspired guy here. And I do cheat. I have to do alternate picking on Master... I'm just not fast enough or good enough yet. I do know most of Seek and Destroy and bits and pieces of other songs but just play for fun because I don't think I was blessed with the talent some of you have. But I just bought an ESP KH-2 Kirk Hammett signature guitar so that just might set my mojo free... :D

  8. I got a ZW set, but it did not come with a 3 way switch. It had the 2 pickups, 4 long and 4 short pots and the output jack and the wiring. I was wondering if it should have come with a switch. Oh well, still haven't put 'em in anyway. Too much to do and not enough time. :D

  9. Hey... Trying to figure out what to get with a Home Depot gift card and thought I would get a router. However, I don't know jack about them so was hoping some of you could help me out. Should I go with a plunge router or a fixed router?

    Plunge Router

Fixed Router - The last one ($60.98)

I was also debating on getting one of those Black and Decker FireStorm all in one tools. It is the power unit with circular saw, router, and drill/driver attatchments. I already have one with the drill, jigsaw and sander. They don't have these on the website, but they are $79.99 and are 12 volt units. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...

  10. Buy a Tacoma because they kick ass. I got mine about a year or so ago and love it more and more each day. Mine is the DM9 and I paid about $550 for it. Solid Mahogany back and sides with a solid spruce top. I think it's one of the best Acoustic values going. One of the guys I work with is a big acoustic guy and has a couple Taylors and a Collings. He said mine had amazing tone. I have no affiliation with Tacoma, I just think they make great guitars.
