    another question, why do the necks go from skinny to big?

    its about 1/2 inch to small, or about that...maybe i should just add some wood to

    im currently in the process of making a neck for a bass...its fine at the top, but compared to my ibanez bass, the lower part is smaller then the ibanez...it feels better in my hand, but im worried if the the strings will fit on it...any suggestions?

    i know i could probably do a search on google or it may have been done thousands of times, but i like how you guys describe things so.. i have my neck blank all good and such and i wanted to know how to round of the back of the neck to get the round profile...yes yes amateur question but i want to know the best way to do it thanks

    would i be able to make the headstock all the right angles and such and then just glue it to the end of the neck?

    im making a maple neck for a bass, but the wood is just wide enough for the size of the neck and not the headstock so im gonna glue a wider piece on any suggestions on how to make this stronger

    yeah i just thought if i could find nothing else i would use it, but my shop is gonna get me some wood after i search for some to get...but thanks for all the suggestions

    would it work to harden pine by painting the pine wood body black to how i want it, then put many layers of laquer? and if you have any suggestions i would like to hear them

    anyone have any links of a headstock being reshaped ex: p-bass to a mockingbird headstock

    i dont think this stuff is home depo haha its seems to be a pretty good wood to use which i am also making a table out of and have had no problems with it, but since i am a beginner, i will probably use it since its not expensive

    oh. and i did do a search and it said the pine gave it a nice sound

    if i used a planer on my wood and sanded it all down, would it paint good enought that you wouldnt see knots?
