he agreed to cancel my bid or give me a piece of hard curly maple for the sdame price...but agreed, i shouldn't of asked him to pull my bid, I dont usually sink down that low so i responded with if he had any pictures but also told him to keep my bid in because i NOW feel like im screwing him over...

Also, I obviously dont know what to look for other than it being beautiful. For some reason I never consider strength an issue.

I am currently looking for either a 1" thick bookmatched piece of flame/quilt maple or a 2 1/2" flame/quilt maple billet which i can resaw into a 1" body blank.

I stumbled across this and it looks promising, what do you think?

well, it isnt really damage, just paint wore off. On the backs of two tuners, there is a little spot of paint ware, and on most of the others have paint ware on the "circle part of the casing". only two of them have paint ware on the top of the pegs...would deffinatly trade for some cheapie gold ones though

This picture sucks but it was the best I could get with the lighting i had.

It KINDA shows the two spots on the backs.

I have some black gotohs. Good condition but on some of the tuners the paint has scratched off the tops...would be will to trade for some gold 3x3's.

i was planning on thinning out the bottom. what i really did was draw the top and then merge it in with a standard strat...feel free to take my design on to paint and SHOW me what you all mean...visuals are always good

the tune o matic is angled wrong, which means the long part is the top. as for the shape/wood for it, im using flame maple so i think the design would look nice
