  1. The problem now is I can't seem to figure out how to get the tracks I've recorded to play while I add another track. What am I doing wrong? It can't possibly be designed to work that way, can it?

Any help at all is more than I've had so far.

    Thanks.

Click on "Tools", "Audio Options". Go to the "Advanced" tab and put a check mark on "Enable Simultaneous Record/Playback".

    I owe you a beer.

  2. I've had Cakewalk Pro Audio 8 for quite a while, and I'm just now starting to play with it. I used to have a Yamaha MT44 4 track cassette setup and it worked well.

  3. The biggest problem, as I see it, is the polariztion factor. The "Herberts" (ten points for naming the reference) are against it, the stoners are for it.

Somebody show me the logic in keeping it illegal, and I'm with you. Somebody give me the facts to prove that it's ok to open the gate, I'm there. So far I haven't heard it from either side.

Until then , I'm in the middle of the road. And I don't like to be in the middle of the damn road. Too easy to get runned over.

  4. if I were you I would go for a seymour duncan seth lover seth lover. IMHO thats about as good as it gets in a "vintage" sounding humbucker. Granted there not cheap at about $80 USD each. But I garuntee you'll like umm. And if not they (seymour duncan, it doesent matter where you buy umm) and will exchange them for any of there pickups.

The other guitar player in my band has a Hamer Artist with the Seth Lover pickups and they sound incredible. Really "woody" if you know what I mean. The only problem with them is they tend to squeal. I'm told they're not potted, but I don't know. I don't care. They still sound amazing.

As a side note, I think Hamer guitars are extremely underrated. In my opinion, they are at least as good as PRS, if not better.

  5. I'm torn on this issue.

Let me preface by saying that I am well over 21 and I like beer. A lot. I have a mixed drink occasionally. I smoke cigarettes (down to 2-3 packs a week). That's about all the vices I can handle.

I have smoked pot. It didn't really do anything for me, so I choose not to do it. I do know a lot of people who enjoy it. Most are normal, hard-working, responsible Americans. Many are scumbags. Still others are in-between.

The problem I have with it is that the arguments from organizations like NORML haven't convinced me that marijuana should be made completely legal. On the other hand, I don't think that simple possession should be a felony.

Maybe it should be handled the same as liquor. Taxed and sold in "package stores." If you're caught driving with an "open container," you go downtown. Like that.

    I don't know.

  6. Well, thanks for the info everyone. Thrash how much would that be with shipping to Illinois zip 62340?

My girlfriend just bought me a fab tone and daddy o. I'm going to see how well they sound with my rig. I had a fab tone before but it was swiped while tearing down equipment and loading it in the trailer. Funny thing is, no one remembered seeing anyone up by the stage. Oh well it happens. Thanks againe everyone.

PM me with shipping cost if you would thrash. Thanks  :D

hey, actually, i you want, ill trade it to ya for one of those pedals B) ill see how much shipping is

USPS Priority Mail would be about 6 bucks, give or take. In case you were wondering.

  7. Really sorry to hear that, dude.

Over the years, I've dealt with UPS a lot. I don't trust them. They're slow, careless, slow, expensive, slow, unreliable, slow, and hard to deal with. Did I mention that they're slow?

I've recently bought 2 guitars from AMS and had them both delivered FedEx Ground. Both times they arrived a day before they were scheduled and the boxes were pristine. Not a wrinkle. I also shipped one out that I'd sold on Ebay from OK to NJ and it got there fast and safe.

As far as I'm concerned, FedEx Ground is the only way to go.

  8. i got my set of noiseless tele pickups in the mail, however the bridge PUP wouldnt work so my new set is on the way.  a few days ago i decided i would throw a p90 in the mix and put it in a "middle" position on my tele.  since theres basically no room for anything else in my control cavity, i think im going to wire it to a killswitch routed under the pickguard near the tip of the lower horn... along with a strawberry ice mod and a killswitch for the normal circuitry.  and just have the p90 to toss in whenever i want, or solo it for that matter.  what do you guys think about that PUP configuaration?  its a mighty mite p90.. nothing fancy but i like it pretty good

could someone help me with the killswitch wiring btw?  i think ive got it but i wanna make sure i do it right.  thanks

Personally, if I was going the P90 route, I'd use it at the neck and leave the wood intact in the middle. You know, "less taste, better calories" or whatever. I don't even know what that means. Never mind.

Anyway, if you like it, do it. There are no rules here. Except that one about the mashed potatoes.

  9. Once upon a time ‘Coke’ and ‘PEPsi’ and ‘7-UP’ were not named because they contained Caffeine, they contained Cocaine.

    http://www.angelfire.com/ga/struitt/pepsi.html

"1906-- ... The federal government passes the Pure Food and Drug Act, banning substances such as arsenic, lead, barium, and uranium, from food and beverages. This forced many soft drink manufacturers, including Coca-Cola, to change their formulas. Pepsi-Cola, being free of any such impurities, claimed they already met federal requirements."

    :D

  10. Thank you very much. :D   That's just what I needed to know.  I think I'll probably go for a more expensive power source as it seems like it's going to be more beneficial in the long run...

Just use a normal power supply and by a 1spot daisy chain, now you got up to

5 pedals on 1 outlet, and its easy as pie.

I use the 1Spot with the daisy chain harness. They even make converter plugs for different type connectors . You can get the 1Spot & daisy chain together at Musicians Friend for like $25.

Godlyke & Carvin have similar setups.

  11. If you REALLY want to go for that 70's type sound, why not consider the Dimarzio Super Distortion? It was, I think, the first avalible replacement pickup, and was used most notably by Kiss.

Personally, not my sound at all, but it may be worth looking into.

Not to jump too far off-topic, but in the early 80s I had a SDHB in a late 70s SG. Sweet.
