Right from the mainpage,wiring diagram to split coils.As to the 5 way, I have no idea and in my unprofessional opinion I'm not sure it can be done.

I've heard good things about the proco rat before too although I'm not sure if its what you're looking for,you could always just get a metal zone too.

I've heard bad things about Line 6 and I've had bad experiences with Digitech. My friend has the GT-6 though by Boss and I must say it is pretty killer, I say go for the boss. Or better yet,play them all and decide yourself.

I'm pretty certain thats the real bill lawrence ones, the ones on stew mac(if they still sell them,are not the real ones)

Due to the tuneomatic bridge i'd say it has a neck angle of probably about 1-3 degrees.

Its probably just a cheapy single locking trem copy with knife edges that will wear fast. If it doesnt havea company name on it chances are you won't figure it out.

Well everybody, I've had my first project in the works for several months now,its not a complete build but a refinish with some mods. It's taking so long because

a)I don't want to rush it

B)I've had to research what tools i can use in place of commonly used tools,

c)Lack of money(mainly this one:P)

Anyways it works out like this..

Strat style body

Ibanez neck(maple with rosewood fretboard)

H/S/H

5 way switch

Pickups will be ebay cheapos for now until I get more money, then itll probably be duncan JB/Pearly Gates and I'll laeve he washburn single coil in the middle.

Floyd Rose

25.5 inch scale

Silver pearl pickguard

Grover 6 inline tuners

Silver paint

1 volume 1 tone and killswitch

Mods:

Neck heal

H/S/S to H/S/H

pickguard modded to fit better

old neck had to be pried off because it was glued

new neck

Anyways..I have all the parts now except the trem anchors so the floyd is just sort of sitting on the body in the picture but you can get an idea of what its going to look like. If you click the previous button in my photo album you can see the mock up i did a couple months ago of what I wanted. The guitar was originally not going to be modded as much and thats why its painted but its going to be refinished again so it'll look good.

Scott Ian runs a signature seymour pickup "El Diablo" its like a hotter screamin demon with rails instead of pole pieces. It has less output than the dimebucker. If a dimebucker is a route you're interested in you could always get the original bill lawrence 500 XL.Its cheaper too.

Killswitch Engage and other bands of a similar sort (Shadows Fall etc.) run EMGs and Lamb of God uses a Dimebucker or a JB I think.(Avenged Sevenfold uses passives too) Thats all I really know in the world of new metal.

You can definately get killer metal tones with passives.

I think thats a good idea especially for international buyers and maybe we can set something up for people. With that said, I got no help for the truss rod,sorry.

I must be the only one areound here who likes that solo... but I do admit the tone is lacking.
