i have a router but i dont think i have the proper bit to cut directly through a body. and i dont have a table router which would make it easier. i do have jigsaw. can rough cutting be done with the jigsaw?

um so what do i buy to make the average guitar? width and lengthwise

please help me i dont understnad what to buy. i dont understand the measurements. like i know what i want mahogany so i click on that

4/4 genuine select = $7.75

8/4 genuine select = $8.15

special buy 100bf (whats a bf?) 4/4 genuine mahogany select = $674.97

and so on and so on

so basically i dont know what to buy and how much would be enough to accomodate a guitar. the prices are extrmemely low and extremely high for that 100 bf

what are dead spots? yeah it really does look nice. any kind of binding would kick ass.

yeah that was my frirst thought. fret acces might be a problem that thing looks tiny for your hand

throw in some binding!!!!!!

and maybe smooth out the neck/body intersect so the hand can go allll the way up

i think you can just make the body and cut out the part that you want the neck to go through and just take the remaining pieces "wings" and slam them on the neck to make it a neck through. i dunno ive never done it but its just an idea

well you need to calculate where to put the floyd rose posts and then route te cavity accordingly. ive never done it before but i think you would have to make the saddle to nut length exactly whatever scale you are making for instance 25.5 and then put the posts wherever it would make the FL sit in that exact position

thats pretty much a esp version right up there in the pic. because its got the kv body with the reverse esp headstock. i think they used to be called umm lemme think v-100 or something anyways dave mustaine glorified it with the dv-8 except i dont think he had a reverse headstock
