Ibanez headstock would have looked cooler... maybe.

Well, i had 10-20 min free the other day and got out my templates and started looking at my jem neck template. Now im thinking about giving my jem a reverse headstock to kinda set it off from the other production jems out there. Kinda give my jem some orgininality and not be seen as just another copy(imitation, look alike) project (even though it is). I still havent made up my mind. Give me your opinion guys.

If you can live and play with a reverse headstock, but in my opinion reverse Ibanez headstocks look awful, ugly and horrible.

I printed K7 headstock and just finished measuring.

Emm... One more question:

How about headstock? RG 7-string headstock is a bit longer than 6-string so I need some help with this.

Picture of RG 7-string headstock with measures in it would be nice.

Any other ideas to solve this problem?

All this calculating is making me mad.

If that's true, you should probably re-consider building a guitar. Seriously. You might want to read, research and do some searches on this board to get a better idea of what's involved. Don't mean to sound like a prick but there's alot of "calculating" involved in building a guitar. Most of which, you want to do before you start.

Yeah, yeah I know that. I didn't mean that I don't have time or interest to calculate and measure everything before building the guitar.

The problem was that I didn't get all those advices, but now it's quite clear.

I'll start this project this summer, so I have plenty of time to read few guitar building books and do everything that must be done.

Jem in that blueprint is 6-string so how could I accurately measure all those things without know stringspacing etc.?

Oh... Then how about neck joint? How much wider it should be with 27" or 28" neck scale?

I've been looking for 7-string (baritone) RG plans but haven't found any.

Is there any?

I could use those jem blueprints from jemsite.com but it's 6-string version, I think. Is it possible to use that jem blueprint to this project?
