  1. so its 6 pm on sunday and all of the hardware stores are closed and i was restringing my guitar and i stripped the screw that goes into the locking nut on the top of my fretboard. so..im looking arund my house for some kind of substitute i can put in to replace it temporarily and i was wondering if anybody in here knew of some kind of household object that would contain that specific size screw. thanks.

  2. i called my local music store and told them that i wanted to put an emg 81 and 85 in my guitar that currently has emg-hz's. As you can tell, that is a switch from passive to active pickups. They told me that the pickups would cost around 100 each and the installatino would be at least 100. All together around 300. Is this a fair price? Thanks.

also, if anyone knows where to get cheap installations or cheap emg's let me know thanks.

    :D

  3. i believe you have latency. a very common problem in computer recording. i really dont know much about it. but i think it can be adjusted (at the cost of proccesing power?) and i think it is mostly because of your soundcard

Correct... if the processor in your pc is not up to speed (especially as Guitar rig is Processor intensive) you will lag behind and get annoyig echo... Go and throw a LOT of ram into your pc.. that ** Should ** Help a little... Alternativly get a new pc and make sure it has LOTS of ram and procesisng power... expensive but if your going to do recording via your pc... its needed really...

Also a nice soundcard will help... the more frequenceies it supports the better

    Hope it all helps

I've got 512 MB Ram and 1.7 Ghz processor, more than needed to run the program according to the website, i'll try tweaking it though thanks.

  4. I downloaded the demo of guitar rig, i plugged my guitar into my sound card via a transfer piece (1/8-1/16) or whatever the guitar plug size is to the headphone jack size. I open up guitar rig, and i hear my guitar but everything is delayed and it echoes. It sounds like delay is automatically on and i have fooled around with it i cant figure out what the problem is. I turned off all effects and stuff, it still made the problem. I have a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card which isnt bad, it should be able to hand this program. can anyone help me? thanks.

  5. I'm selling a Fender Stratocaster Standard, Made in Mexico (White on Black). 2 Dimarzio HS-2 stacked humbucker Pickups, (Neck/Bridge). Original middle pickup still in guitar.

Note: Includes both original single coil pickups that came with the guitar.

Pretty good condition, small chip in paint at the bottom... minor scratches.

  6. im trying to get a new guitar, i play metal, and i am stuck in between the zakk wylde pickups (81/85) which is on a KXK guitar that i'm looking at called the V1, by the way if anyone has any information on the quality of these guitars, please post. I'm also looking at the dimebucker pickups with a 59' on the top or a pearly gates. People tell me that the original pickup that dimebag used, the L500XL, later to be called the dimebucker is a better, cheaper, pickup, anyone have any comments? thanks.

  7. Okay, first off, i was having the same problem about a year ago. I bought a marshall mg50dfx, which was one of the biggest guitar mistakes i've ever made. I used to jam with my friend until i got in a band and the other guitarist had a Marshall AVT50, half tube, half solid state, it delievered that great tube sound without all the tube cost. It was plenty loud, it blew away my friends drums and i would reccomend it to anyone whether playing at home or just jamming with a few friends, i would even gig with it.
