  1. looks good... kinda... wait,, ill be straight

Looks purplish or a odd tone of wood

Body seems tiny, making neck seem short and fat

    Unicorn Spikes

    Doesnt really scream Gothik Metal..

Looks more like you took down a beat up maple branch and ran over it then put some blakc electronics on it....

Other than all this!, looks GREAT! :D

  2. I just looked at mledbetter's post right before korge's post and if you stare long enough, Billy Squier and Michael Bolton appear to be swinging their arms in time to each other.

    Creepy.

Lmao!!! your right... i used a metro nome and began to watch them... theyre just about rite... :D

BTW, ive been kinda busy with school.. home work... Computer games.. B) so i dont have any new pics, but after this weekend i may.... :D

  3. seems ive sparked some interests in the avatars.. :D

well i looked at the mandolins... seems ive been misjudged... to be honest(you might be surprised) the tele is only roughly about a foot and a half tall.... yes... a little under two feet... surprised yet? well get this.. i still want to make pickups and a bridge for this little guitar... now... anyone know where to get the right parts to make pickups the size of my pinky finger? :D

  4. Hey, since you didn't like my Fotoflame idea, how about a sunburst? That's pretty ashlike grain there.

I never said i didnt like it... :D but yea, i was thinking about doing somekind of sunburst since i got a pretty good grain...

And yes, i love my avatar too...

And can you give me a link to a site on what you were talking about... the pickups..

Also, would it be possible to take a piece of rosewood and place it on top of the pine? or would it be best just to cut a solid piece....

  5. wow, is this going to be a veneer flame top, airbrushed with 3 part alchohl based stain with black squares on top with a unique body shape!?!

Youre braver then i am... :D it look nice, but i think u may have your hopes up for that red/yellow fade...

I cant wait to see it in action :D

  6. No i dont, in fact i think its cool that you wanna try... that means im not the only one that likes it... :D

Right now i kinda stoped the tele b/c im buildin a strat for my friend cuz they liked it... well heres the latest images of my tele... I began sanding and shaping the guitar and neck...

Btw, anyone got tips to winding my own pickups.. just incase i wanted to make smaller ones to go in the tele? see... if i can, i want this to be playable... hehe :D

  7. Well, im trully just doing this for fun and to practice with wood.. i know cutting pine is nothing compared to cutting hardwood but i would rather be doing something with wood in the mean time... the nearest Lumber mill is on the othe side of Atlanta and my dad wants to "wait for a good time" :D . so until i get to go, im just messing around with this pine. I mean, does this mean this progect is stupid? i didnt think so,, i think its cool. I was going to use shaped nails for frets and fishing line for strings. anyways...

As for the neck, i did the same thing with the warmoth body to get the shape.. i took the picture, printed it out Perfectly to the same scale, and traced it...

  8. Well before i spend 80 bucks on wood, i decided i would try to do some wood work on some pine. Ive never done real woodwork so i figured the best way would be to make a miniscale guitar.... Im not done but heres pics of whats done so far.

First i printed a pic of a body from warmoths site. i cut it out and put it ontop the wood. From there i took a pencil and drew around the edge of the paper to get an out line.. When i removed the paper, i traced the out line to get the body. Now i need to cut it out! I cant wait till its done.. i just need to find out how to make the electronics.. lol

  9. nice work curtis!

i always believe that with patience and smarts you can always make something out of very little, and give it the attention to be great!

So true :D I took my ugly Redneck lookin Tele and made it look a little harder with a punk edge... it is definitly better to my liking...

  10. Well technically the paint wouldnt wash off the shoe.... umm, guitar, it would probly just crinkle on like leather tends to do. :D .... but perhaps sewn fabric might be better... litle 1/2" black leather pieces... that might look good...

well anyways... for the guitar idea, Maple and Walnut checkers.. would i make a veneer like top? then go and glue it to a solid piece of mohogany or w/e? ive been wondering about this for a while...i know i need to glue it and all, but how this should the top be? and when im done do i just glue it to a solid body?

  11. check ebay for the vans. i got one on ebay for my girlfriend, brand new. the only problem with them, like the Chuck D's is that they're so damn thin and can break so easily.

    -Jamie

true.. they like denim but weaker.. no one would skate on chucks because one fall and your hi-tops are lo-tops :D Well anyways, i never really liked those checkered vans... only on girls, i think they look nice... on guys.. well, im not gonna say.. im not like that... :D

I technically like the Adidases... i was thinkin tho, rather than wear my Checkered laces ( courtesy Hot Topic B) ) I was thinking about airbrushing em checkers... anyone think this is a good idea?

  12. omg, seems everyone is harassing him to get a job... well... its still right tho.. :D

I want to put in my .02 before this topic goes nowhere ( if it hasnt already).

Well, why would you want to jump into such hard stuff? I thought taking my guitar apart would be easy... wrong, i ended up spending a whole night figuring out which wire was which and how to make sure i remembered where to put my pickups.. Seems you are completely clueless to how hard this stuff is.. no, i take that back.. to me, i learned that it takes lots of patience and a some skill. so since you dont seem to want a job, i guess i can cross Patience off the list, and for skill... well, you want to buy a 100 dollar guitar and turn it into some Signiture Series LP? umm, you cant even lower your pickups so i dont know what to tell ya...

Well, in closing, ill be surprised if you will be able to cross the finish line with a descent looking paint job, let alone a 2nd guitar at all... umm, well... good luck to whatever you have planned...

  13. wow, thats a real site too, i thought u made that word up... :D

Oki.. back on track.... ---> Why bother to mess up a guitar with a piece of paper? i would only do this if i had a leftover guitar i was looking into throwing away, and from what your saying , you sound like you dont even know what your talking about... so i would refer to some guides and tutorials before putting paper on guitars... pce! :DB):D

  14. hes talking bout the Mirage paint..

I use it alot for detail work, comes at 17 bucks a can.. the paint takes long to do too, its a 3 part step... Black, Shifting color, Clear... so if you looking in to doing a whole guitar expect to buy about 3 of those packs.. the sad part is that you cant get the paint in singles, they only come by packs... and its most likely thhat youll only need the shift pain and not all the black and clear...

Heres a link to the product... its some good stuff, but at 17 bucks, i dont use it alot..

    Good luck :D
