  1. the new place i work just got set up with one, holy crap!!! this thing is sweet!

ive used it about three times so far and love it! it uses a pump and maybe about three psi. so there is practically no over spray! it just pushes out fluid, and it lays on the project very smooth! use simply set the hose in the bucket of laquer(or whatever you use) and spray away! if they werent 2,200$ i think i would buy one! maybe someday in the future! but for now i can use my bosses!

  2. well although i think the gibson people are a bunch of idiots! i dont feel bad for prs, they have been after anyone who come close to their style, warmoth, saga, etc. they will probably try to nail me sooner or later! i love prs guitars, but im not fond of the single cut, i geuss cause its already been done and i want some new cool designs in this world! jeeze where are the artists at? how hard is it to create unique great looking intsruments? i officially boyccot gibson! and prs! and fender! i will only support local and upcomming lutheirs from now on! unless i come across a nice mint 61 sg, then i will have to get it!

  3. im a drummer and a guitarist, and yeah the drummers are the backbone of the band, record lables wont even give you a thought unless your drummers is tight and precise!, luckily mine is, but!!!!! they are also a major pain the the butt sometimes! i know i am one!

  4. they look nice setch, i started doing the same thing with my guitars, using ebony/maple/walnut but i never finished the 20 that i started, lol ive been using the speed nobs cause they look nice on my design, but eventually i will get back to making my own, im gonna use the brass inserts then tap a alen head set screw into the side. you can get them at depot

  5. OK here is my first entry for this month. i did this about 2 years ago, it was an old Penco bass that we put a carvin neck on, i reshaped the headstock and added an ebony venneer. with the white and black mop inlay (wich was my second one ever)

its an Ash body that the customer wanted black, it also has aperloid pickguard and a humbucker pickup, this thing sounds great!Dennys,headstock.jpgdennys%20bass.jpg i might be adding another one of my originals also but im not sure

  6. i use a mesa dc-5 combo, it sounds great! it is heavy though, im gonna be building a mesa styled 2x12 cab for it soon, it will help for the "on stage " performances and looks!

... talk about heavy, dude it was like luggin a volkswagon!! yeah but its better than a stinkin volkswagon! those are Hitlers revenge!

  7. for the laminate neck i glued up the wood so it was about 2.25 wide x 1 5/8" thick x 35" this way i can run it on a jointer then through my planer to get two smooth edges , then i rough out the back of the neck and headstock, then carefully i turn it over on its fret board side, and run it through the planer to get to the exact thickness i need for the heel, BUT!!!!! i have to shut the planer down befor it gets to the headstock, lol or else it will get ruined! lol then i just lower the table hieght and pull out the neck and wall lla!

  8. i do my necks like the second picture, where you thickness the headstock first then glue it on. i find it works well and my necks are really freakin strong! I also do laminate necks, i havent used it yet though, i spent a few hours one day and made up about 4 necks,3 mahogany, and 1 exotics laminate its really cool looking.

  9. speedy that is the only thing that is good about them!

as far as the sound of line 6's, i can hear a total difference and its not a good one, trust me if it sounded good i might consider trying one, its not like i love luggin around a heavy amp and a bunch of pedals to shows but hey they sound a lot better! ive seen and heard a few bands that use the line 6 amps and i can tell before i even see the amp what they are using. im sorry but they just dont have good sounds. imo

but to each his or her own! i will stick with my mesa!

  10. well i do believe you, but that is just sad! getting a good sound from a rig is also part of being a good guitarist, i think the line 6 stuff is just cheating and the lazy mans way of going about it! plus i can hear a difference, my freinds band let me listen to there new album and i could tell right away that it was recorded with a line 6, and this thing was recorded with the big wigs in nashville. i do think that stuff is good for making wierd sounds though, but not for a good over drive tone or clean tone, more overdrive though.

  11. well i dont have to crank it up to 12 or 10, and my tone is deffinetly not muddy, but im not going to argue about this, i really dont care! i like my tones and you cant have them!!!! well accually you could if you get the same amp and rig that i use!lol
