After a day of deliberation, I've decided on the 6262 for now, I can always buy the 333xl at a later time, they're cheap enough. I'm going to wait until after I go on vacation however and see what kind of price my uncle (not really sure the real relationship, so I'll go with uncle) can get me on a marshall head since he's a dealer and I've been dying to try the JVM 410H.

Yeah, I'm kind of stuck between the 6262 and the 333xl at the moment, nut sure which I'll really get because I know I would be happy with either one.

I've been looking around and I believe that a Bugera may be my best bet because I really don't want to spend a lot and they sound pretty killer for the price, but I will invest in a good EQ and some other pedals to make everything sound it's best.

I voted for pukko because I'm a sucker for metal. I can work metal and build things out of metal far better than out of wood, so I can really appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into something like that.

The very most, and even this is a stretch, would probably be around 1300, but really I would like to spend less than that because I'm going to be building a 2x12 for it as well. I want a tube amp, around 50-120W would be more than I could ever need, but good since I can keep the master volume low enough to not piss off everybody in the house and the neighbors. I would like 3 channels, but wouldn't mind something like a 6262 with gain on the clean and a crunch button (don't know if I could get an amp guy to mod that to work with a footswitch for 3 channels, but it would be worth a shot, yet not a big deal). I've looked a lot at the 6262 because of the price, yet I really don't know. I really do not want to have to spend a fortune to get a somewhat versatile palette of tones. I've heard good and bad things about bugeras, but if it breaks, I could probably fix their cheap chinese wiring myself rather than return it, or buy another and still be under the price for a real peavy amp. I wish their new dual rec clone was out.

Or you could just go the fiber optic route and only have to replace one led in the control cavity in case something ever goes wrong.

Look up the All access neck joint on google images, you might be able to make a sculpted bolt on that way depending on the premade neck and how the holes are drilled in it.

I've never looked at the blackstars, I'll give them a look. I heard amazing things about the Engls and I like the JSX. i just need to try a bazillion amps I guess until one just feels right and hope it doesn't cost too much.

When Campbell's soup started with those new pop-top lids, I managed to fold it down over itself onto my pinky, creating an 2 inch long gash and a flap of skin there. I theatesn bought myself a one-touch can opener, which creates unnecessarily sharp edges around the edge of the can, and cut my hand on that too. Oh kitchen injuries...

I've used what is commonly called an "Ear Pick", which is a little, rounded hook/bowl type thinger on a shaft, which has a handle below it used to pick crap out of your ears, so yeah, basically "weird ****."

I've actually been considering one of those, yet didn't know anyone who owned one and wasn't really sure on them. I'll try to find a dealer and try one out then.

Now that I've upgraded my strat and have my first build underway, I think it's time to start thinking about a new amp to replace my crappy solid-state combo. I'm looking for a versatile amp that could handle clean, jazzy-type tones, yet have enough gain on tap to play even the heaviest metal, yet don't want to spend the ridiculous prices associated with these amps. Does anyone out there know of an amp that fits this description. I know that I can get Marshalls pretty cheap, so anyone have any suggestions on which I should go for? Or are there any other smaller brands that could get me great, but similar tones for less? I'm not really familiar with the latest amps as I'm just starting out and hope someone here has been around the block a couple times and can push me in the right direction. Thanks.

Really nice looking, I agree on the headstock, it's much better looking this way IMO.

In a video of him, it appeared to be grayish on the grain.

I like the fact that it looks way more comfortable to play with those rounded edges.

If you are going with an OFR, then you should be buying an OFR, not a licensed one. When people say OFR, they usually mean Floyd Rose brand. DON'T BUY THE STEWMAC PICKUP WINDER UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO MAKE A BUSINESS OUT OF IT! That's a lot of money for one set of pickups. Just look on Youtube for ways to make a pickup winder, you can usually do it for less than 10 dollars.

Yeah, I would leave the part closest to the body relatively the same, yet make the rest more v like and make it run smoothly into the thinned out headstock, if you get what I'm saying at all.

If you can manage it, I would also try to do some more industrial inlays, whether they be of some metal material or some type of acrylic that matches the body or overall theme.

Yeah, I'd go without on this one. I wasn't expecting the stripes to be so thick, but they look awesome that way.
