  1. i have always found the stew-mac template too large for standard soap bar covers... works great for dog-ears though.

    I wondered about that also. I plan on just making mine flat. This build is really more of a practice build that anything. I am made numerous stupid mistakes with it and doubt that it will amount to much of a playable guitar but you have to start somewhere and I already have a second one in mind and have learned alot with this build so that's what it's all about I guess. :D

  2. I have started my first build and have a set of P90 Dog ear pickups as far as the body route goes for these do I route them just like a soap bar pickup or do i need to compensate for the ears so that they can bet set in the body as well or do I just route like for the soap bar for the wires and slight protrusion and top mount them to the guitar boday? I tried to do a search but didn't find anything specific.
