Just takes practice....We all had tons of tear outs when we started...you need to think of the router as a planer & not a router, i band saw, then i check with the template & usually i have more to saw off, & even then after i attach the template i go around it with my spindle sander carefully without touching my template before i route...when i route there is no more of a 16th left & in some spots even less...

o I’m a small time builder, don’t make any money doing it…but I’m TOTALLY ADDICTED…BEST THEREPY EVER…Its all I think about lately, I have a small home here in South Florida & my garage has become my shop…My wife love it! LOL
o I Love Dimarzio pickups & I love teles so I’ve made a bunch of super strats & now it was time to make a tele & I figured why not make a super tele…I have built a few guitars for people that have paid me, didn’t make any money doing it but figure it would get my name out there…I know I need to come up with a headstock design but it’s hard to beat Fender…I am addicted to old school strat head charvels& I try to replicate what they did….my Facebook page is facebook.com/funkguitarsusa…Please like it won’t you?

Can anyone tell me why the string spacing is different on import bridges Vs American?
For example I have built 2 Mighty Mite parts guitars & found that if you use American style Bridges the E strings are almost hanging off the sides of the fretboards!!!
If the specs on the necks are supposed to be the same as fender why does this happen?
Thanks,
-Mark
