i got a sanded charvel that needs paint i tried putting it on ebay so many times but nobody would buy it
i hate listing fees.
id like 40 bucks? pay me thru paypal please....
i might take a trade. surprise me
the reason im selling this is cause i want to get some money to buy a body blank and make my own guitar.
i also need a good set of s/s/h pickups. (ibanez, charvel, jackson, would be fine.)
-
yeah it seems like a better idea to just fix it...but i didnt think and i just ripped it out like theres a patch of wood on the bridge and a patch of wood gone from the guitar. it chipped everywhere.
-
How do u refinish neck thrus? how would u sand them? how do u put on new binding and stuff or do u just leave it on? i need to cover the fretboard somehow when im refinishing right?
i was planning to use aerosol laquer. dont i have a risk of the paint cracking and stuff. or is this just as good as a factory finish.
-
that seems like a cool idea, if i were to get this instant gold/chrome thing would i have to clear coat it?? or can i just leave it the way it is? is there buffing involved to get it to shine after u chrome it?
-
Proper pitch always
-
haha i dont know shipping might be alot, a small trade would be cool.
also, when i ripped the bridge out i realized that when i was tuning my firends guitar it made that same cracking sound. could his bridge possibly be coming off too? how do u stop this? am i tuning it in a wrong way or are the guitars poor quality?
-
i was playing my acoustic and i looked at the bridge and freaked out. the bridge looked like it was gonna fling out. i remembered everytime i tuned the guitar i would hear a snapping sound. but i ignored it.
is there anyway of fixing this or is it trash? i dont care much if i cant fix it, it was 100 dollars in korea.
-
wow i dont see one
oh wait found it i will try right now
oh wow i fixed it, thanks alot im a nub lol

i bought a new korean acoustic...in korea. and the frets are like flat, there not really crowned nice. it played perfectly fine over the summer. i duno why its buzzing now. its buzzing on the high e string at the 3rd, 5th, and 6th fret. do i need a new bridge or something? cause hte string is awfully close to the fretboard...i dont wanna just throw this away cause its practically brand new....

when i browse around the internet for guitar bodies they usally say, "made for a 22 fret neck" does it mattter what kinda neck (21 fret, 22 fret, 24 fret) u put on gutiar bodies? does it effect it in any way?
-
im korean too and man......it has always been my dream to make my own guitar from scratch. i dont have a workshop or the tools to be working with though. i joined shop class in school hopeing i could build a guitar there. but it doenst look like its gonna happen.
i was born in america, but after seeing hyunsu's guitars, i wish i was born there.......
when i go to korea. im just gonna pack my bag with woods. seriously

my shop teachers got cedar, cherry, poplar, and other things i forgot,
but what kinda wood is suitable for a guitar neck? wide grain or narrow grain? can anybody suggest any alternate woods i can use to make a neck?
i doubt he will let me use the maple, he siad its not the hard maple u find in baseball bats so i dont even know if u can use that for necks.....

ohh alright thanks alot guys

what are active pickups? are these active? waht does active mean?
-
im selling this but is this a lo-pro trs II?
this person sent me the following email saying
"Do you know if this trem has the same contact points and and width/length
dimensions as the lo-trs II? I need a replacement and can't find a lo-trs II
anywhere...please let me know..."
i have no idea tho lol
-
ohhhh gotcha, also whats the difference between single and humbucker pickups? is one better then the other?
-
but then why would some people get 2 humbuckers that are the exact same thing if there used seperatly? wahts the point????
-
i have a charvel about to be assembled and painted, but the body is s/s/h wouldnt i want a h/h body to achieve more of that rock sound? like i was thinking of 2 emg 81's.
why do some peopel get 2 of the same emg pickup on one guitar? they are both used at the same time right? cause on my washburn electric its a s/s/h and it has a 5 way strat switch. the switch activates each pickup seperatly right?
sorry about that question, lol im such a newbie
-
have:
-washburn oscar shmidt electric (hey it doesnt sound that bad.)
-yamaha 120 watt combo
-ibanez sound tank distortion pedal (bought it used for 20 bucks)
-charvel dinky style, all in peices, needs to be assembled and painted
want:
-a electric built entirely by me....(that is my dream)
- with a kahler pro
- with emgs
-peavey XXX head and cab.
-
i dont really see a difference between the pro model and the flyer model....
-
ouch i thought flyers were better, i thought someone told me that they liked them better...
-
this says that kahler flyers were used on intermediate to low end guitars??? are pros really better?
-
i play just like heavy metal, punk rock sorta of stuff. the amp right now i have makes a popping noise when i palm mute, and it squeals when the volume is up to high. i was thinking i could somehow use the parts on my old amp and make the pyramid better???
or maybe i should just find a better amp lol

this looks good. but will it sound good? does it matter? i like the price
Martin Acoustic Is Splitting!
in Acoustic and Hollowbody Guitar Chat

thats not my guitar, but u know how theres 2 pieces of wood sandwiching the countoured wood (newb language) its starting to split, i think it JUST got there for some reason, should i dab a wood glue all around where its splitting? it seems i can pry apart the wood fairly easy with the splitting already started
how could this have happend? how do i prevent this from happening>
