..but then if everyone used epoxy he wouldn't have been able to get them off in the first place
2 pot epoxy comes of with heat mate!

Don't sand the glue off. I repeat - Do not sand the glue off. Glue is harder than wood and you'll end up removing wood around the glue and the surface may end up not flat.
Sorry, but that's bad advice. Have you ever worked with a neck that has had a fingerboard removed? The glue is incredibly weak and almost flakes off on it's own. However, new glue is definitely stronger than wood. Glue that has been heated so that it has become a liquid and then re-hardened is definitely no where near as strong as wood.
I agree with Jon. Have a clean suface to glue to. some people use epoxy to glue the fret board. I think thats a good idea to. you can fix your mistakes using expoxy.

Building an acoustic is a great idea. I am building a hollow body prs at the moment. Not the same as a full acoustic but very cool at the same time.

well i think we should have a build of killemall. or shouldn't it be killermall?
?
I think maybe he meant a build off? As in competition of building. The name thing I don't know, just a play on words, though if he doesn't realize what you name says, its Kill 'em all. Though when I was younger I probably used the word "killermall" as in "man that was a killer mall, yo" , scary I know.
I'm still brainstorming on body designs for your next, but I do like doublecuts, definitely keep that one on the board for now. J
Its late here in New Zealand mate. I know your name stands for Kill em All! I was just playing with words thats right.
But i think the rail design is cool idea... I am trying to figure how to make it look cooler.

Hey guys. Who here owns a Orange amp?
Well i have a tiny terror 7 watt to 15 watt head.
I really love this thing. Its real good for testing out guitars i have repaired or built. Plus its handy to when customers come around, you can have the thing cranked up and get that tube tone going with out the wife yelling at me. Unlike the days when i had my mesa trem o verb. haha
here is a picture of my baby!
I got to try out the orange rockoverb 50 combo the other day, another totally awesome amp.
Anyway who else has an orange around these parts?

I was reading somewhere today that a PRS thats worth $4000 retail only cost PRS $750 to make.
So what ever it cost you to build times it by 4 and you will have a fair retail price. Then take away 1/4 or 1/3 of the retail price and you will have a good street vaule. List it on ebay as a custom axe blah blah. hype it up. get someone to record them sherding on it thru a mesa boogie? and it will sell no worries.
P.S. Well thats they way i see big companies selling their guitars today!!!
P.P.S. I should write an ebook on marketing guitars, i could make a million.

well doesnt look like this will be happening after all. he wanted to pay about 125-150 per body and neck combined. that would put me under, and i would be losing money on just supplies.
Mate thats a rip off. What a joke! did you tell him to see mighty mite. haha.

I was thinking dual humbucker or 3 single coils and a six string guitar format would be cool.
time to go and plan!

So any updates? I love the way this build is going.

Well for some reason this one does.

Dude, you lost me.Knowing you, this is probably incredibly funny...but clue me in on "THACO" please.
Ha ha ha, that's an old AD&D reference. To hit armor class zero = THAC0
I just threw that in as a joke.
