Is there a smart way to integrate the neck pickup into the neck, and the 23rd and 24th frets would run across it, while it would be mounted at the place of the 24th? Though it may cause some bad pickup noise when you play those frets...
Anyways, this thing isn't a problem when you don't have neck pickup at all.

12-54!?!?!? WOWZERS! Those are heavy!
yeah, but I tune down half a step and occasionally use 11-49.
I also prefer boat necks.. 1" at 12th fret, 0.910" at 1st fret....
I use this gauge without tuning down.

I'm starting to feel like the doomsday machine tonight!
I built a guitar out of Walnut, and it is chambered, and, well, it is not one of my favorite axes although I do like it, there are other woods that, to me, were much better tonewoods than Walnut.
On the face of it, you would think Walnut would be a GREAT tonewood...I did...
...but found out, at least with mine, that it isn't the best out there, I can't say exactly why, but it is very noticable to me, in the fact that that guitar isn't one I immediately pick up and play...actually I am getting ready to rob it of some of it's electronics to use on another guitar.
Just speaking my experience, not my opinions...
Interesting... What is the problem with it? Could you please explain it?

Flat headstocks are easier to produce, but they need string-trees for the sufficient string pressure on the nut (intonation), at least for the higher strings. (The lower strings naturally have the right angle, 'cause their tuners have smaller distance from the nut, therefore those strings won't run so flat as the higher ones.)
I better like the look of flat headstocks, they're kinda smooth for me.

It must be a good guitar, but that oiled mahogany looks kinda unfinished. A 'love it or hate it' look. Sorry for my nitpicking, really top notch instrument, only I'd better like it in a sunburst finish.

Have you ever heard the name: Invisible Man?

Bolt-on is stable, easy to make, has a good connection between neck and body WITHOUT any bad resonant glue.
