Still debating on the finish . Either natural ( tung oiled) or just stain the top and HS green. Back , neck and sides would still be tung oiled.

Rough shape for the headstock. Were going for a suhr style shape

Heres some progress pic of my current custom that's being built. I myself am not building , but still wanted to share. I did Onthe hand pick all the materials being used, and draw the body shape.

Specs:

Bees wing mahogany body

Curly maple top

Roasted birds eye maple neck

Ebony fret board

6100 SS frets

Suhr Aldrich pups

Gotoh Floyd

And planet wave tuners

For the body shape , I wanted it to be the same size ad a strat, but have SS look.

If you could figure out the insurance and space situation, it would be very cool. Maybe have all student sign a release of liability , during the class.

Rad, you should start guitar building classes. That'd be bad ass, I'd go for sure. Some that I've seen are upwards of $3k for the week.

No, not at all. I hope to gain some knowledge from this forum, so one day I can complete projects all on my own . Currently I don't posses the skills or know how ,to do these things on my own. Hence, the reason I out sorce some aspects of each project. I don't expect anything for free , if that's what your referring to.

I've been playing guitar for about 10yrs now. I've yet to build one yet,but have been involved in any way I can on a few projects. I've always been fascinated by the process of building guitars. I really appreciate all the great builds on this forum. The in depth of detail on this forum is fantastic . I hope one day, to be able to do half of what some of you guys are doing.

Any how I'm always looking for a skilled luthier to assist with various projects I have going. The luthier that I generally use , is booked up till next year on various customs(including one of mine) . So any one that is interest and has a good deal of experience, feel Free to hit me on PM . I've got a couple neat projects I'd like to get started this year.
