yeah but i'm betting a really bad medium gain buzz that only subsides when I touch the hardware.

should i solder the ground wire to the bottom or side of

the stud. its a standard tun o matic tail piece.

Has anyone heard of or ever tried to use 2 ground wires to ground the hardware from the tail piece. Also when you ground the tail piece of a lp do you need to solder the wire to the stud? Because the feed back that i'm getting goes away when I touch the bridge or tail piece.

do you mean like a hand planer or paint scraper?

I have an SG special neck that i'm going to use on a gibson jr. i'm building but I want to paint it yellow instead of the red that it is. What is the best way to remove paint from a guitar neck? Is it all sand paper or is there another way?

Hi I'm Eddie and I'm new to this forum as well as building guitars I'm trying to finish building my second guitar which is a standard LP. I have it all wired up and it sounds great at low volume but when I turn up the gain(without any pedals) to about 6 or 7 I get an unbearable feedback that only lets up when you put your hand on the hardware. I've tried this through 4 different amps and 3 different outlets and I used the duncan diagram for the wiring. All of these thing give the same unbearable feedback. If I run it through a pedal then its not as bad but still bad. All of the amps I've been using to test this out have been verified that they work with other guitars. Has anyone had this issue? or any ideas for a solution?
