If using strong enough glue I don't think it will be a problem.
-
Because of alligning problems, yesterday I made a template for the lip by simply glueing a couple of sheets on top of each other.
-
7 1/4 inch (184 mm.) is very common.
-
No need to glue or use double stick. The pressure of the strings keeps it in place, this way one can also move it around to improve the intonation.
-
Nice piece of zebra. Got specs for hardware and pickups and such?
-
Quite the eyecatching bass you have there, looks good.
-
Those are some killer looking finishes, good job, you sure are getting the hang of it.
-
Beautiful!!
I think I'm going to have to do one as well, that just looks great. Just get a cheapo tele and make it nice.
What glue did you use?
-
Lovely top you have there. A J set does look less cluttered, are they actives?
-
There's the Hello Kitty strat, so maybe it is time for a pokemon tele as well
-
Are you going to put a pickguard on this?
And good job on the very clean socks.
-
As there's no clearcoat on it yet, you can still see/feel the holes. I'll mark them so I know where they are before I clearcoat it. I want to put a clear plastic pickguard on it but I can't find one. Does anybody know where to get one??

They have clear Tele pickguards, price is $35.

Good luck, this one should come out great.
-
The original paisley Tele's had a clear pickguard right? Just don't cover up too much, looks too good to be hidden.
-
Wow, that should be a snazzy looking guitar when it's done!
-
Looks good. Shame about the trussrod issues.
-
That would sound very cool I think.

Buy him a long blonde wig and fake beard as well.
A 9 year old in rockerstance playing sweep solo's and pinch harmonics

I like the whole artwork idea...
...I once made an exact replica of my lp out of a piece of mirrored plexi...fit perfectly in the hardshell case too!
:-)
-Devon Goodspeed
Got pictures? And is your name Devon Goodspeed? That's a cool name, almost as good as Max Power.

The fuzz factory is a cool addition, a great idea to put it on the guitar itself. And I for one don't think it had too many controls. There are a lot on there yet you did it without making it look crowded.
-
That looks crazy(in a good way). You do like your fancy controls and switches don't you.
Why put just a volume and tone knob when you can jam loads of switches in there, right
-
This thing keeps looking better and better.
-
That is one of the most beautiful necks I've seen. The veneer between the laminates looks absolutely great.
-
I didn't see the cover the first time either, which means it's a good cover doesn't it?
-
That looks terrific. +1 on the nice cavitycover.
Good Bass Neck Radius?

Didn't most vintage Fender Basses have the 7.25" radius, while the more modern ones have the 9.5?
