  1. Hi everyone!

I am having a maple veneer top put on an Ibanez RG body I have (customised by Brian from floyd to hardtail-you may have seen the tutorial)

Paul from www.arrowheadguitars.com is going to do it for me but I am trying to come up with ideas for the particular shade of blue stain to have.

    The hardtail hardware is black

The pickups will be black or blue.

The neck is flame maple with a blue vine inlay

    So a request:

If you have seen any pics of shades of blue stained veneer could you post them here pics or urls because I need some ideas of which shade of blue :D

I may also go for a bit of a black sunburst too

    Thanks very much in advance

    Cheers

    Simon B)

    REGISTRATION

    So to register:

    Email me (simon@jemfest.com) the following:

    Name

Address (and name and address of anybody you are bringing with you)

Guitars and/or gear you are bringing. It would help for organisation purposes if you include the serial numbers of your guitars.

Like last year the names and addresses will only be used for purposes of Jemfest, for example last year I used the addresses to post prizes to the winners.

There are no limits on numbers of people attending Jemfest UK this year.

Please try and register by September 30th. Sooner is better for me and my organisation!

    ACCOMODATION

If there is enough demand I will look into getting a group rate in a hotel near the venue-email me if you will need or are interested in this.

    TRAVEL

    The venue is here:

The entrance to the union is in Keyworth St (under the arrow).

If you have any particular travel questions email me and I will tell you the best way to get from Heathrow, Gatwick etc. Kings Cross, Euston, Waterloo to the venue.

Are you flying? let me know

    PARKING

Please email me if you want to bring your car as I will be able to get a few FREE parking places for people (provided you give me all the info South Bank Uni need). These places will be in a locked parking area with CCTV and security.

    GUITAR GALLERY

Will be bigger better and brighter than last year and will be set up 12pm-3 pm. Tell me what you are bringing when you register.

    JEMFEST JAM SESSION

There will be a jam session for everybody who wants to have a blast. This will be after the headliner at about 10 pm (after everybody has had a few ales). Please email if you want to get up and do one song to a backing track or would be interested in getting up and jamming so I have an idea of numbers.

    PRE-JEMFEST EVENT

Friday night October 10th piss-up in the 'Intrepid Fox' in Soho, followed by blood shots all round in 'Garlic and Shots' and then a rock night club later too if you are up for it!. if you want to come I will email you directions-tell me when you send me your registration email.

    POST-JEMFEST EVENT

If you havent had enough ROCK!! for one day then at 11.30-midnight we shall all be off to a fantastic rock night club in Soho called 'Gossips' which has a cheesy 80's rock and metal night-as featured in some previous UK jemjam piss-ups. The club closes at 3.30 am so there is plenty of time for rock, beer, and scantily clad chicks!

    OTHER JEMFEST EVENTS

After Jemfest on October 12th, if the weather is good I will be happy to organise the Jemfest Thames boat trip and walking sight-seeing tour (with visits to pubs).

There may well be a chance for Jemfest goers to visit some of the London area sights e.g. Windsor Castle, Legoland Windsor, London Eye etc.

In the week after Jemfest there may be a few Jemfest related gigs-more info coming soon!

    CREW and HELPERS

I have already had some great help from Adrian Foden, Paul McCrone, Pete Davies, and Jerry Egerton.

If you want to help out on the day let me know, we need:

people to be on the door to sort out admission,

help Adrian with the guitar gallery,

people to help with stage set up and band changeovers,

    raffle ticket and t-shirt sales,

you know the kind of thing!

If you are doing any of these things you wont miss any of the action!

There is still more stuff to be added to stay tuned and see you in October!!

So there you go, if I have missed or overlooked something then let me know.

    Best wishes

    Simon

  3. yup I read that in the HC review too

I emailed Hafler in the USA.

I was then replied to by the UK rep saying he had been sent the email by the USA.

He didnt know anything said I should email Hafler USA :D

So I emailed Hafler USA, they werent sure and asked for the model number (which is doesnt really have) so I replied with a Jpg of the advert from the early nineties to jog their memory!

    we'll see... B)

  4. "I emailed Hafler in search of a manual, first guy seemed pretty clueless, but I was soon emailed with the full manual in .pdf format."

this was written in one of the HC reviews

seems they aren't readily available til you contact them

    :D

Can you email it to me my Aussie mate!! B)

    Cheers
