For the side dots I would like to make something a bit special, first I've thought about doing the same as I did in the inlay dots, then when I let the fretboard to its size you'll see two alumium lines separated by padouk paste. But I think that it's going to be very big...

Hello again, my real second project starts now; a kind of John Suhr Modern, the body is going to be mahogany, maple's flame top, the neck is eye's bird maple and the fretboard is ebony and the scale is 648mm
I've started this new project by making a template for the body:
..and a jig to resize the body thickness using a small router:
the jig has worked pretty well. It allowed me to let the boby in about 40mm thick...
and almost flat:
then I have made the radius 16'' and slotted the frets:
To make the inlay dots I've used a 4mm diameter aluminum tube filled with padouk paste...

I did not like the result. So after a year I started to rebuild it, I bought Padouk and Rosewood for a new neck.
I made a new headstock, I tried a PRS
These are my tools to cut the fretboard, not very orthodox but I didn't have the propoer tool...
And this is the result...
The clear line between the fretboard and the is a maple veneer. I think it looks fine.
When I glued the neck I made a terrible mistake, I didn't take into account the bridge's height. I thought that I had ruined my guitar. I completely reshaped the boby and...
Then I bought a piece a lime and I a built a bookmatched top. It wasn't very nice in the begining but...
and I used this jig to glued, not very professional, but it worked perfectly.
It took me about five hours to make the pickup cavities, they were done by hand using a small drill and sandpaper.
To finish, I applied a wengue dye to the body and mahogany to the top...
And this is how the guitar ended up.

Hi, first of all I'm Emiliano from Spain.
This pics belong to my first try of building an electric guitar.
In the begining, it was a three pieces neck of oak an ebony fretboard and mahogany body. The bridge and pickups are from and Ibanez Blazer Series from 1982.
In my Ibanez, I put a pair of Seymour Duncan JB, and a Schaller bridge.

Simply I looked for a picture of the gutar I wanted to build, printed.
