Now what kind of neck to put on this. Either bocote or cocobolo fret board. I have 3 laminated necks in the works. Wenge/maple. Paduak/maple and mahogany/maple. The maple on all of them are merely 1/8" stripes

I'm leaning towards the maple. Would there be a huge Tonal difference between the maple and koa?

I'm usually a design on the fly guy. I'd post pics if I could figure it out.

So my plan is, I want to do Cocobolo back and sides semihollow with the nice piece of alder 3 inches wide down the middle Long enough to mount the pick ups and bridge too.

Now I have to choose a top. I have beautiful 1/4" book matched Curly koa, beautiful book matched 1/4" super curly maple and I have nice very 1/2" Book matched curly black Limba (I could carve a arch Out of this).
