The idea is to make it look like an acoustic only... thinner, probably with a cutout, but not 100% decided on that yet. I do plan to put in a rosette and acoustic style pickguard, there just won't be a soundhole.

I plan to make an electric guitar that looks like an acoustic, so I'm wondering what woods would give me the warmest tone, and the same for pickups.
Also, what effect would making it semi-hollowbody have on the overall sound?

Not quite, it's a completely solid body electric, it just looks like an acoustic so it'll have pickups, volume and tone control knobs, etc. I think I may actually inlay a circle of ebony to look like a soundhole and I could "hide" the pickup(s) by mounting them right inside that circle.
And I have no idea what the danelectro convertable is. Neat name though.
