I have got plan copied and now have a rather large jigsaw to fit together

I have used an A4 printer in the past but have found that the copies are sometimes elongated slightly, if that makes sense, however the griding system should overcome this problem.

I'm trying to find someone who can copy my plan so that I can cut out patterns to make templates but so far its going to cast around £40 to get it done

For the 335 build I was thinking of a semi hollow routed body, a flat back and a carved top a bit like a semi hollow L Paul would be.

I'm much better now. I'm sorry to say that I am not one of these people who can build a world class guitar at their first attempt. I just plug away at it until I get it right enjoying what I do 

Revisiting one of my first guitars. This is the middle of the fretboard. Through this I learned to constantly check that the fretboard is flat when sanding the radius curve. 

I think its a"raisin"ing what you can do and learn as you get older. 

Sometimes I feel like the grape who got squashed !!!!!!

I totally agree with you. I also make other things from wood i.e. Bird seed feeders, squirrel feeders, and things people ask me too make for them   and I hope to learn a great deal with my next project. Thanks Mr Natural I will be sure to check out the threads.

I never refuse to learn anything new and in fact am still learning how to build and play guitars and I doubt I will ever stop.

Believe it or not its my 59th birthday today. Time flies when you get old.

Do you think it would be easier and better to make it as a semi hollow body rather than try to bend the sides using heat 

The sides for now. I think the top and back will probably be carved and sanded. 

There seems to be a number of ways to make molds for a 335 style guitar. Has anyone got a favourite method which they use or can offer any advice for a first time mold maker.

Plan has arrived.. I will need to study it quite a bit before starting as it looks complicated. It looks like this will be a very slow build. First thing to do as always start making the templates. 

Having researched the building of hollow body guitars. Its quite a few steps on from solid body guitars and I think it will take quite a while to build one. I hope I will be able to build a fairly decent 335 hollow body l guess there is only one way to find out if I can. Watch this space as they say. 

I would like to give it a try if I am clever enough.

For my next project I am planning a 335 style guitar which should be a bit of a challenge to say the least.

The guitar is not to heavy and feels nice to play. Sound wise it leans more towards a strat type sound but all in all not to bad overall. All the wood for the guitar came from the table top the fret board and head stock vaneer were even cut from the top. Once again I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read my ramblings and to give me advice when I needed it. Thank you I could not have done it without you and I hope you like the result of our endeavours. I am now planning my next guitar build.
