Hi everyone,
ProgettoChitarra is back with another domain .it
Italian Version of ProjectGuitar and Italian language community forum.
What's new?
The shop is on line (for Italian customers only).
Our Wood supllier can sell the famous sitka of Val di Fiemme (Italy), used by Stradivari on his violins!
We wish we could share our experiences and tutorials in guitar making.
Thanx a lot
Romano Gaspari

it has a P reversed shape... i searching for cad file or similar that can help me in routing
thanx all

opening the base-plate of your p.u. you can directly check which poles you have to wire!
north-start north-end
south-start south-end
check the colors code on dimarzio website
good luck

i had modificated a strato style Guitar changing the bridge single coil with a dimarzio fred and rewired it complete with new pots and swithces.
risults:
terrific ground effect touching any hardware parts
my first idea was a wrong solder but i have resolderd a lot of times but same results
pick ups seems to me working well but at this time can't link guitar to overdrive or distortion
pls any one with experience can help me to understand?
p.s.
forgot to say that its original singlecoils have just one conductor with the shield for the gorund

hi guys,
my last project produces very tapped natural harmonics; sound very poor also with artificial ones
what to do for a correct setup?
can it depends on a bad floyd rose octaves setup or can it depends on a bad pick up wiring (when i play natural harmonics on a string and let it ring, if touch softly another string you can hear a tipical ground click)
-
i think WD 's are not bad components
maybe i wrong to solder the ground because i hear a tipical ground sound touching the strings softly
-
circuit redone !
but still have noises
-
yes!
you can hear it when the note is going to the end....
but i understand that i wrong to wire ground bypassing the 3 way switch
in fact when i move it the sound don't change
i think i have to wire the ground too... so i'm redoing the circuit
-
this is the problem:
my circuit produces a crack sound on every string but more hearing the low frequencies of wound strings
in the circuit there are 2 di marzios (the tone zone, super distortion) each wired to on on on miniswitch (parallel, tap, series) ----------------> to 3way switch (for pick ups selecting) --------->to 500k linear pot
for the ground i had bypassed the 3 way switch and wired directly to 2 miniswitch, iis it the problem?
or the noise can be produced by bad soldering?
-
there is some problem in my circuit......
i've 2 hum wired to 3 way on/on/on micro switch for tap, parallel, series (one switch for hum)
the micro switches are soldered to onother 3 way switch for pick uos selection then from it to output jack ....
no sound from any pick
i 'think the left contact of the pot must be soldered to ground , aren't it ?
pleasa help me
-
s-s-h config?
i don't like it very much because i prefer h-s-h or h-h
this is my suggest:
di marzio "the tone zone" in single coil format (i think it's called S for strato and T for tele)
di marzio middle single coil (steve model)
di marzio super distortion (very good at bridge position )

Duties and taxes are a big enigma for me,
sometime i had to pay, another not!
the only way is a big G on the pack
-
if you need to buy di marzio 's do it! from Brian of course at www.universaljems.com
f-spaced is not more expensive than regular and it was designed for Floyd rose tremolo or modern bridges
I live in Italy and with ems shipping have received custom colors pick ups after only about 2 weeks.
if DI MARZIO'S ARE YOUR DRUG , BRIAN IS YOUR PUSHER
-
only changing neck or string ? naaaaaaa
you have to do some other works as moving the bridge down and routing pick ups cavity
-
yes, Brian is simpley the best in the net!
i'm italian and here we don't have sites that sell pick ups or accessories! i've found universal jems with the help of some friends in the paul gilbert forum, and he ship to italy very fast !!!!!!!!!!!
thanks again Brian

in my opinion dye colors have not good results applied to not figured wood
try to finish your ash body with a trasparent spry color, dye ones look better to flame maple or quilt maple
-
if it's an acoustic guitar he have to replace the capo and the bridge with a left-handed one , if it's a classical just simple replace the capo and only the bone of the bridge
be sure that it has both the shoulders ...........
