...Got some Brass tubing, dremel'ed some teeth into it (some very dodgy looking teeth!)

Drilling carefully, worked a treat!

Have now plugged the holes and waiting for it to dry, before I level off and start again!

got me out of a hole (boom, tisss) Learned a great skill there!

(although, one that I hope I will not be using for some time!!)

...this may be common knowledge to some, but is a new one to me...so thanks!

Oh well, problems are sent to test, I suppose

...only ever previously bought one new set of tuners, and no problems with the screws.

However, guess I'm learning via the 'pain in the butt' method.

I've bought a new set of screws ...which 'seem' a little studier (although deeper/longer... I've measured, shouldn't be a problem)

Oh dear...any advice on how to get out of this pickle!?

I recently bought a very nice strat neck and some Kluson trad 6 inline tuners to fit.

I pre drilled the holes for the tuners and whilst fitting the scews ...two of them sheared in half,

leaving half of the screw buried in the neck. This happened quite effortlessly with out really

applying too much pressure whilst screwing the screws (Kluson...hmmm ...nice tuners, crap screws!)

My idea was to carefully drill around (with a tiny drill bit) to remove the screws, and then wood plug

the holes, and start again (once the tuners are fitted, they would cover up this abomination...as for

resonance/tone ..who knows??)

Any other methods/approach's that would not involve leaving a great F****** hole to be plugged

would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
