If you look close enough, and enlarge the photo like I had to, you can see
what is either the outline of fret tang or a slot that has been filled. (second fret)
And yes , I did squint.

U will need to cover or "mask" the finished wood in tape.
im not sure if theres some kind of standard tape to use tho?
-
I havent actually played a zero fret nut
but i think its just a case of the open stringed notes sounding freted
and id say some people mite like that sound some mite not

It almost looks like a mechanical pickup. Meaning a slug inside a coil that vibrates freely while the coil is connected to the body.
Sonds about right to me
they shouldnt be that hard to replicate then?
yeah i got no idea what that blue liquid is. Onaly about 3 drops in there tho
sonds like it whold be cheeper to make then a regular pickup
i may be way off tho

I think any project is only as good as the parts you use.
If it was me, I'd wait a while longer and have me the real deal.
( I'd probably even sell my body if I had to )
Good luck with it all.
selling my body no problem
I would drink less beer for a month and spend the money towards the OFR. You guitar will thank you for it.
DRINKING LESS BEER!!!!!!!!! NO WAY!!!!!!!

I love it
I absolutely love it
all done whith no measuring u say?

Why dont you use an original floyd rose instead of a licenced version
alas my bank account will not let me use a original floyd
so i have resorted to useing a very cheep eagle floyd rose that gose for about $90 AU
however i will be modifying this to have a dead flat radius and will most likely have a graph tech trem nut whith locking tuners as i cant seem to find a flat locking nut?
-
i woldent bother going to 1000 grit 400 will suffice, i find that the paint grips better whith 400 grit anywho
hey and if u like the epi gothic searise man u shold check out the gibson voodoo

How many springs u got holding that trem back there
-
It was all done in a freeware IMSI turbo cad
goto file/print then click on page setup
make shure your set the scale to 1:1
under printer paper :
enter the size of the paper your printer uses (A4, A5, A3 )
under drawing sheet size:
enter the size of the actual drawing, mine was about 310 x 450 mm
click ok, then print
thats how it was for me in IMSA turbo CAD 2D
now there is a gap of about 2mm between each page when u tape them together so u will have to cut that 2 mm off
my guitar bodey was about 4 pages
-
Its definitely a strat trem ive just never seen a pickup rout go thro into the spring route before
ahh well spose theres nouthing whrong whith it
-
Looking good man
i dont think ive ever seen anyone do a SG qwite like that one
Hey whats whith the tele on the right?
the brige pup rout gose right thro the bodey?
-
I apologize for my spelling RGGR i dident think it was that bad but obviously it has disturbed u so i am sorry
Those black marks are actually black paint I spillet on accidentally, its all sanded of now
The template i used for cuting the body was from a Jem bodey .dwg file i got from this website, which i printed out on 4 pages from my desktop printer and stuck together not the most accurate method i know so i was a bit off in the meshurments
plus im not exacaly a wizz whith a jig saw (it was the first time i had uesed one)
but i have fond a plan printing service now so i shant be haveing that prob againg
hardware color shal be black
peace out

ooooooooook
now back to talking bout guitars
I for one have a query about what body wood gets the most twang out of a tele. I am a believer in the pickup + brige = 80% of the tele sound thang.
but just for the hell of it...
pine?
ash?
alder?
