so far we have 10 entrants...and it looks like the qualified builds will be prs or gibson style-ish single or double cuts or explorer..

i think we will expand the time frame for gathering basic starting materials to all of january,rather than half of it...

so,with things just a little more concrete...there are still 6 days left to sign up...

as of this posting there were 65 posts but 700 some odd visits

we need the Mods to speak at this time on their suggested guidlines

to give this a more "realistic" push towards our goal as we are at 5 pages now and no given path

a fee is not a bad idea. while i agree with Rich and Drak. the fee could go to the BP fund

wich would help us not wast time with naysayer"s and wanabe's (nothing personal)

and benifet PG were it needs it.then if you pay in and cant produce that fee is your penalty

and the BP builds gain

there have been enough posts to give the Mod Squad some basic ideas for a start

let them post the rules in the put it to a vote area and we well vote our rules based on their sugesstions

My sugestions

10 days to build guitar

10 days to paint it

10 days to fine tune it and all finishing touches.

24 hours to post finished guitar with specs and pix

It would be good to talk to Brian or some other moderator to open new topic "BUILD_OFF" or something so any of you guys in it can post pics of your progress.

It would be good to set some standards for building.

To be honest it would be more of how it looks rather than what is the guitar playability etc, so it wouldnt hurt to have sound clips.

dude i build 50 hours a week at work so 10 days at home is not possible

and 10 days to paint? only UV reactive finish could be done properly in that time

but if you want to go head to head no bounderies ill do the 10 HA.HA

as you cant use passive pickups with active pickups without bypass wiring

well you are right negative is a little harsh

the build continues just not in that manner as no one had any suggestions

i was not asking for someone to design for me. just what people wanted to see

as i have the means/time/and experiance to pull it off in that amount of time
