  1. Hello everybody. I've got a Carvin V220 colored in solid red. It's a 1985 model and it has some scratches over the surface.

I sand papered it with 1000 and then 1200 papers, using them with water. I can't get it glossy as it was before though.

I can't find any tutorial in the site.

    Cheers

  2. hello all.

I have tried so many pots and got problems on the long run with all of them.

I am looking for some real heavy duty pots to put on and never (within some years) unmount off the guitar.

Something which resists to repeated soldering would be the best deal.

    I need 3 500k for volume purposes :D

    hope to get some hints,

    thx in advance :D

  3. I'd need to change the cable onto 2 mini humbuckers and 1 humbucker.

They are from Seymour Duncan, but even if I am used to wiring jobs, I feel kinda afraid to break something :D

    any ideas or hints?

    thx in advance :D

p.s. a little question: do anybody knows if there's a particoular wax to re-pot pickups?

  4. Hi all. I want to buy this ebony fretboard for my project:

    Fretboard

I want to make a guitar with a floyd rose bridge, but I'm not sure about a thing....

all the guitars I've seen with a FR nut, have the nut itself mounted ON the fretboard (I don't know how to explain myself more clearly. Here's a link with some images Floyd Rose nut)

The fretboard I wanna buy has the slot for a classical nut, fender style. Can I install a FR nut even if I don't have the necessary underneath fingerboard space needed by the nut??

Hope I crearly explained the point..... :D

thx in advance for our reply :D

  5. Hi all. While searching the web for some sites about inlaying activity i found this forum...this sounds like :D

Well I bought a Charvel just the other week. Unfortunatly this Charvie has been fu**ed by a noobish luthier while re-fretting the keyboard......the markers have been burnt. Especially the ones from 7th fret on.

I'd like to change those things. That's why I'm here. I'd like to know where to buy binding (or whatever is called) material to make the marks.

Oh....and...how do u pull off the oldies and glue on the new ones?
