Hey guys!
My bass player just pickep up a Washburn P2 for me.
It has nitro finish, and the previous owner put a sticker on it.
Can I use alcohol or something to remove it? I don't know if alcohol damages nitro...
Help me out here please.
Thanks

That may be interesting...do you have any example pics of that?

I found a guy selling this, as new:
Gotoh Tune-o-matic Bridge with Studs/Bushings Gold
Gotoh Keystone-style Machines Gold
Gotoh Aluminum 'Stop' Tailpiece Gold
All for 75€
Would it be worth it? Or should I spend a little more on Schaller hardware (around 100€)
And what color/finish would you sugest for a Flying V with gold hardware?
Here's the guitar:
Thanks
-
Well, I got it last Saturday, and there was something weird...it was too light...ok, it's missing the hardware, but still...

Any comments on the more detailed pics?

Ok, here are a few more pics. My bass player has it with him, he'll bring it to me next weekend.
Here, next to my friends Ibanez:

I'm not interested in selling, so that's not an issue.
My bassist picked it up, he said it looked really good, the body is in really good condition.
oldguitarguy, thanks for the link. That red translucid Gibson is probably what I'm going for, but I'll let my girlfriend pick the color for this one.

As I said on the first post, he said it was an Ibanez Cimar.
From what I read, they were made in the same factory.

So the Gibson would be cool, but no
Thanks anyway

It's on hold, my bass player will go check it out in a few days and bring it to me if it's all ok.
Thanks for the tips

Yeah, my first guess would be Mahogany too, but I'm no expert...
It's seems like a good deal... 75€ for a (probably) mahogany guitar, setneck, with a case... Since I already have pickps and straplocks, I would spend about 150€ tops on other stuff, right?
50 for the bridge, 50 for the tuners, and 50 more for pots, nut and other stuff.
I could probably get it painted in an autoshop for free. Or do it myself...

Hey guys, I have the chance to buy this for 75€ including case and pickguard.
The seller claims it's an "Ibanez" Cimar Flying V from the 80's (no way to tell, right? )
Well, how much would I have to spend on it ? (for those of you who made projects like this)
I already have some pickups I could use (Air Norton, Tone Zone, Screamin Demon, L500)
What do you say? Worth it?
What do you think the body wood is?
Thanks

Ok, I've ordered a Switch for this.
Just curious...If I added a push pull pot on the volume knob, what different combinations could I achieve? Any ideas?
-
oh, ok, thanks... so no chance of doing this wiring with that switch, right?

Hello everyone... my first post, and already asking for stuff
I wanted to swap the humbucker(Dimarzio Tone Zone) in my MIM Strat (SSH with 1 vol & 1 tone)
The switch on it is a 5 way, 4 pole. Can I do this wiring with that switch?
Also, can anyone "translate this" into a wiring diagram?
I think my switch is a 4-way one. It came with the guitar. It has 4 poles on each side, current wiring has 1 pickup on each pole, and the other for the tone.
This is it :
Thanks a lot and cheers from Portugal!

Well, didn't need to use naphta. Pulled the sticker, it came out almost completely, what was left came out with a damp cloth. Thanks for tips anyways, guys!
