pics don't show up :-/
need some help here...

another option for the OP:
made by Aldridge Empire.
those are the 2nd generation of that design, the first one was made for me only, I think
I got mine (7pcs) for around US$ 100, a lot more cheaper than ABM.
it's for top load string mounting, though.
you could ask for string thru body version like mine, but maybe you'll have to wait for a little longer.
and if you have your own design, he'll build them for you.

Thanks for the comments.
Ricky, the F Holes are supposed to be 69's for the 1969's. I'll have to check yours outs. They were a pain to bind. I would totally have made them bigger if I had to do it again.
here's mine
mine supposed to be a Y (see my signature)
yeah, I bet it's a pita to bind especially around the edges.
what colour are you gonna put on it?

I like your "F" hole concept.
looks like mine or mine looks like yours

hey Chris, I posted your progress pics on my facebook
I even framed them, so it looks like progress frame
like this:
damn, I really like this guitar, man
-
ok, now please tell me about your neck joint.
I argued with my friend (he's a luthier, a great one) about screws placement on bolt on guitars.
he said if I do bolt on guitars, I have to have enough space between screws, so the joint will be strong.
so, I changed my neck joint design just because of his advice.
now I see yours, it makes me wonder
what is java in jazzy java?
thanks.

oh man

trem is on the way.
woods, not sure when I'll get them.
-
pickups:
don't know when will I receive them.
-
basically I just want to have a multiscale trem that looks like a normal one.
although I was thinking the same as you guys when I designed this trem.
but since this is only a 6stringer and the gap between scales is only 3/4", there should be no problem.
well, I hope
if there is, I can always fix it and make a better one on my next builds
ps. that kahler has only 7 strings
-
and he keeps on teasing me

Tele with a Floyd. Love it!
as a floyd lover, it's a floyd with a tele
nice geetar.
-
going very slow on this one
I just got pic of the real trem :
Aldridge said it will be ready in a few days.
can't wait.
-
does anyone know where can i find multiscale guitar's bridge or individual saddles????
i cannot find anywhere!!
if you watched my building thread, you'll know where to get it
do you mean like this:
individual saddles, duralumin rails, solid brass saddles.
or like this:
multiscale trem
-
few more days before I get home
aldridge send me final design for my trem, hope he can make it on time
-
shad, do you sell woods as well?
-
I did.
result?
sucks
not totally by hand though, with a little help from d'addario string winder
-
then the answer is simple - build more!
wish I could.
will have only two months at home, so 1 guitar is enough I think.
and could anybody help me with colour option?
I'm gonna dye it blue+orange like this:
with brighter orange and deeper blue burst.
anybody has any sample?
TIA
