umm it's a marshall MG30DFX, i'll check all the componants later, but it's a solid state amp so it has no tubes for a bug to fly in to!!!

well it sounds fine, it still works okay

i used my apm for the first time in about a week yesterday for a band practice, half way through (turned up to vol 8) the back of the amp started smoking, i let it cool down for a while and played again, the amp way fine for the rest of the night.

can anyone tell me what happened and if it will be okay?!

i found out that building my own cab was going to be more expencive then buying one! (£200 for a marshall mg412a )

could this same thing be done with a thicker material (velvet) and could it be done on a marshall cab 412 cab?!

i was wondering how difficult it is to cover a marshall 4x12 cab and head, and what would i have to do (just the fabric bit were the speakers go, not the vinal!)

if i am not mistaken the mg30 is a close backed single 10",which accounts for the similar sound.

how expencive are these?!, if they are over £200 then i may as well just buy the Marshall MG100HDFX to use as a head for it!
