remove the pickup, take its cover off and if there is anything obviously loose, tape it down.
a little silicone woks wonders! I know it cures microphonics in my Firebird pickups, so I would THINK it would work on vibration, IF it's IN the pickup itself.

I'm just planning on painting a headstock face to match the black body on a cheapo Esquire project. Is Krylon black with Krylon clear gloss, over a waterslide decal, OK? If so, do I still wet sand between later coats? I don't feel like waiting a month for the finish to cure & it IS just the headstock face...
