thanks for all the info!!! does anyone have any working examples of these types of finish? i dont really know what i want you see! i was thinking perhaps a sunburst - then a solid colour... i do like the idea of the oils though! what a lot to take in! thank all for the info though!

i wouldnt know where to begin even with oils! what oils could i use - do they come off.... how do i put them on - would i need to oil the guitar regularly?? etc.... i really am a bit clueless!.. please help! as an aside... i see your bandname in your sig... arent you supporting dkl??

Hi all! I have been lurking on these boards for some time ( )and took the plunge into making (as such) a guitar from scratch! I wasnt brave enough to build a body and neck from scratch - partly because of lack of garage to work in, and im a wuss!! - so i decided to buy one!
