Actually I am right handed...I am wanting to make a "right handed" version of a Hendrix guitar. So a lefty strung righty would work. do you have pics of the guitar?
-
I am in search of a left handed strat. Preferably not too expensive. Something along the lines of a SQUIER or something like that. If anyone can help me out, let me know. Thanks.

SWR makes awesome Bass amps. The combo amps can also be expanded by adding an extension cabinet. THe price is not bad either.

Just what I needed. Thanks for the info.

Is there a required distance between the bridge and tailpiece on a Les Paul (tune-o-matic) type bridge? I am installing one on a non LP guitar and I need to get the holes right the first time.....LOL
Thanks,
Keith

What if a "non standard" bridge is used? If the pickup is not in contact with the bridge, how would you ground the bridge?

Since we are on the PRS KIt subject.........could the neck be glued in to make it more like a PRS? I have had the kit for about 3 months and today I thought maybe I would start to put it together.

What exactly does " drop top" mean
-
Dumb question here........ by "drop top" do you mean a solid wood top as opposed to a veneer like on the HT-10 kit?

Pics?

Dragons or McCartys? Which ones are best?

Has anyone used the pickups that PRS sells? Are they the same ones they use in their guitars? I am planing on putting a set in my ESP guitar but I am not sure whether to use the Tremonti set or the Dragon set. Any opinions are appreciated.
Thanks,
Keith

When installing the bushings for the tune-o-matic bridge, are the bushings glued into the body or are they more of a "press fit" ?
Thanks,
Keith

I'll second that! I received my pickups superfast.

I don't know if anyone has seen this but check out Gibson's new prtotype for Zakk Wylde. ( this photo is from Zakk's site http://www.zakkwylde.com)

My guitar is a Les Paul style (ESP EC series) but it only has 3 control pots. 2 volumes ( one for each pup) and 1 tone ( adjusts both pups). Would this prevent installing these pups in my guitar?

I am considering purchasing a set of the EMG Zakk Wylde pups and was wondering if anyone here is currently using this setup? If so, do you recommend them? Also, how hard is the install...or should I have the local guitar shop do it?
Thanks in advance,
Keith

I played an EC-50 at the Sam Ash store last week. I took it home...LOL. In my opinion it is an awesome playing guitar for $200. As far as the pickups.... I plant to swap them out with a couple of Duncans I have at home. Overall.... I'm pleased with my purchase. I dont play well enough to spend alot of money on the better ESP models. I will use those as a goal/reward for getting better at playing.

Now:
LTD EC50
Guitar Research 60w Solo Tube Series
Wish : I could play well enough to buy a better rig and not waste my money....LOL
-
Go to this site. You can listen to audio samples of each pickup they have. This will make choosing easier.

How about someone posting a tutorial on carving tops.

I have a 60 watt 2 channel amp by "Guitar Research". Each channel has its own gain , volume & tone settings. The amp also has reverb. In my opinion this is an awesome amp. It is only $199 at Sam Ash.

Floyd Rose Question
in Solidbody Guitar and Bass Chat
Posted
What modifications need to be done to fit a floyd rose tremolo to a strat? I dont want to have it recessed in the body, I just want it to "sit" flat on the body. Does routing need to be done or will the floyd rose fit into the strat's bridge rout? I am asking this, because I dont want to buy a floyd rose if it is going to be something of a pain in the ass to fit to the strat body. Thanks...
