nar well the edges should be pencil curves. i have never seen a carved top explorer. so yeah hope that helps. my explorer is pinned in in Progress section if you wanna have a look i spose.

Bassicly im looking for a good tutorial for neck building with pics.

i have one, if u check my post pinned in the In Progress section its in there at the top. I took in from www.guitarbuild.com said above.

hey, havnt been here in months. been busy with alot of stuff. anyway im ready to start building my neck.

1) With shaping the neck, what should i use and wat radius or angle/s should i use to cut on?

2) I have NO idea about doing the heel..i need all the info on that one

rhoads is awesome. in a few days im going to buy everything i need for the neck off him, thats the rock maple, the ebony board, inlay dots, side dot material, fretwire and everything else needed for a very cheap price. and as an added bonus he lives about 10mins from my house!!

i'd definatly go with ebony, so take a long look at both ebonys and then choose

Jackson also a built a few for Gene.

Basically, Gene owns the shape, so he can have whoever build one.

Kramer wouldn't be able to build them again, unless they had persmission from him...

Which makes you wonder about something like the JEM...

Does Steve own the shape, or did he sell it to Ibanez?

If he owns it, and then pulls out of his contract, the whole JEM and RG line goes...
