  1. I loved how they look for a Lawyer on the Shredder forums. Very professional :D pretty much sums up that place though. Full of muppets that just want to throw aggro around from the other side of the internet. Forum full of idiots in my eyes, seen their attitude on other forums, wondered how long it would take for them to hit this place in some way.

Anyone with half a clue about patent/trademark infringement would know that hooglebug has done nothing wrong. Especially in the light of the Gibson/PRS suit - only an idiot would confuse Moser's guitar and this one at point of sale. That said, seeing as so many on the Moser forums are overlooking the glaring differences, wonder what that makes them? :D

Err so that makes me an idiot right?

I have been on both of these forums for a while yet i take great offense that i am a muppet and want to throw aggro around. I see why the shredderites are a bit unhappy. Because its such a unique design. But i also see theres probably no legal recourse.

  3. The neck came today, Very well packaged, Was actually much faster then the shipping i get from America.

The neck has a profile and thickness inbetween a jazz and a p bass neck. The neck seems to be made out of some decent woods. The inlays seem real enough to me. The frets could have been rolled a little better and needs a slight polish. The Fretboard needed alot of lemon oil but this is understandable for a new neck!

Thats all i can really tell you for now until i get all my other parts in!

    Rob

  4. Can you post a pic of the truss rod cover?

Even if it is cracked it wont make much difference in the playing of the neck Per-say, Someone hazard a guess at the type of neck it is? J/P?

No problem, i love his other designs. Theres one of a huge tarantula on the @Bay at the moment which i might also get!

i have seen close up pictures of other necks and the MOP has cracked. So meh:S. As long as it plays its ok!

    Rob

  5. Hey guys, I have just bought an OTT neck on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Basically i was wondering, where would the string tree go? I would rather it not go through the MOP, Its esacped me, whats the point of a string tree? Do i need one?

Basically the project involves this neck on a Hartke Vacarro Body. I want the Best Hardware i can put onto the bass. What string trees would you recommend?

    Rob

  6. Hey guys. I have recently purchased a BC-Rich Ironbird Platinum Pro in PINK. Now i want to mod the hell out of it. Give it an OFR, etc. But i want to pimp it out more. This is part advert and part customisation thread.

So what im looking for is the following.

    Pink Pickup surrounds.

Pink knobs and maybe selector switch ((Remember switch is a 3 way les paul style))

Some dunlop strap locks. ((Black please))

And last but not least i need a set of pink Humbuckers. As long as they are decent aftermarket pickups just offer them to me! Im looking to spend $80 for the pair.

    And the afforementioned guitar.

    be_1_b.JPG

Please bare in mind i am in the UK so you must be able to send to me! Paypal only.

So anyway has anyone had experience in putting a decent floyd on a BC rich? How similar is the dimensions to a real floyd? Would i have to redrill the post holes etc?

I havent got the guitar in my hand til after christmas so i have no idea of the dimensions of the current floyd.

  7. Hey guys, Up for sale i have a Warwick Fortress Bass. this is a REAL warwick, I have played it for hundreds of gigs. it has a 3 band active EQ with MEC pickups there is not alot of fretwear at all though the bass has a very bad case of buckle rash. This bass is worth alot of money new around the £1000 mark. It was built in 1996 when certain parts were still handmade. This is definatly a players bass. Made in West Germany serial No C-029808-96, This is not rockbass shite!

    This bass plays excellantly.

  8. Hey guys relisted due to non paying buyer. Is my personal Kramer USA Aluminum neck Voyager flying V bass in a rare custom shop colour.

This bass was made in the USA around about 1978.. It is one of the excellent Kramer aluminium-neck-basses. It has 24 frets, on a medium scale neck, 4 strings. "Closed" Schaller tuners The neck is of aluminium, T-structured so it will be straight forever: there's no trussrod due to the metal in the neck.= no bow.

I bought this bass NOS (New old stock) about 6 months ago. Before that it was in a shop for nearly 3 decades!

The fingerboard is made of "Ebanol", Which is basically a man made copy of ebony but alot more smoother, alot like a bowling ball. Well done dot-inlays. Nice fretwork too, hard frets: hardly any marks after some 30 years in a guitar shop! The necks metal is sandwiched between lightly flamed/quilted maple. The whole neck is coated against corrosion.

The neck is bolt-on. The body is one peice Maple, One passive humbucker (MM Stingray-like placing) One volume- and one tone-knob.

The white finish is in fact a custom shop original colour for kramer which makes this very rare. and i swear under 800 of these basses were ever made, i can only find one other picture of these basses on the net and thats on edromans site above the caption "Kramer V RARE"

The sound of the bass is very reminisent of a P bass with mids on normal. It has a nice attack, but as soon as you roll down the mids it has a lovely jazz deep bass feel. The playability is amazing i can go all the way up down this fretboard mofo quicker then a ferret up a hobos Bellbottoms.

I will not post this guitar, it MUST be picked up in person, i dont want to risk losing this in the post. However i might be able to go to a midway point In the UK. So if you were a buyer from london i will travel to lets say newbury.

I will take £600 cash or Trade. I will consider any trades. Mostly looking for 80s guitars and basses But hey try me!

  9. hey guys. I have just bought a Warwick Fortress from 96' of the 'bay. Some of the parts have aged. THe gold has rubbed off some of the tailpeice and bridge and the screws are pitted to a small extent. Also it has some of the worst case of bucklerash i have ever seen.

Where can i get Warwick Tailpeices and bridges from that will deliver to the UK which require no modification to fit to my current warwick?

Also I want to try and sand down the warwicks body completely. How thick is the finish on warwicks in general and how hard would it be to take it off by sandpapering it off by hand?

    Heres some pics.

  12. Hey guys up for sale/trade today is my Kramer Voyager Aluminum neck flying V, these were made in very limited numbers in the late70s with the voyager being one of the rarest of the Aluminum neck kramer basses.

I bought this last year and it was NOS as in, it hadnt ever been played before last year. Its in VGC, excellant playability and sounds. The Original pickup is still there ((Dimarzio Model one)).

Also its in white/cream colour. this is a CUSTOM SHOP COLOUR which was done at the original kramer factory. Most of the voyagers had a flame top sunburst finish.

24 frets, ebonal fretboard ((Man made ebony bowling ball material im told. Feels alot better then wood and thats a promise!))

Maple body. Made in the USA

Basically i will sell this for £700 flat or trade for Warwicks/Fender P-basses. ((or anything else make me an offer!))

Also this is available to the UK ONLY. sorry guys!

  13. Hey guys, i have a range of amps for sale at the moment also on ebay at the moment.

    Price list:

Randall RG50 all valve Combo £350

Laney AOR PROTUBE all valve head, £150

    Ibanez 4X12 Cab £150

Up for sale is a literally brand new Randall RG50 TC all valve amplifier! I bought it just yesterday And have only just realised its not for me! I was looking more for a clean sound rather then the modern rock/metal sound that his amp provides.

    The specs are

    50 Watt all Valve amplifier

Electro harmonix Power and pre amp valves

    Onboard real valve reverb

    1x12 Celestian seventy 80 speaker

    Rugged construction

    4 button footswitch

This amp has three channels, one clean channel with a boost, a marshall Esq channel and a modern rock Channel. These can be switched between one another easily using the FOOTSWITCH that is supplied with it! It also has onboard spring reverb AKA REAL REVERB not that digital rubbish. The reverb is also activated via the included footswitch.

This amp can do alot of things! It has the perfect modern rock distortion fit for most applications. Also has a marshall esq sound to it for the classic rock moments. ((Reverb comes in handy there)). The clean is great and natural sounding, and will be overdriven quite easily with a humbucker equipped guitar for fantastic blues sounds.

I bought this amp brand new yesterday for £470 and i am now putting this up on ebay for £350

This amp must be picked up from my house due to the heavyness of it i will not post it. I could possibly travel with it a little ways towards whoever buys it.

    Laney Aor pro-tube Head £150

50 watts, all-tube (ECC83/EL-34's). Amp features 2 footswitchable pre-amp stages that share the EQ controls, so it's almost like having 2 channels. You've got the typical Laney "pull boost" bass/mid/treble knobs here as well. Other features : line out, impedence and voltage selectors, dual inputs, standby switch. I believe these were manufactured in the mid-80's. Typically British LOUD...50 watts is PLENTY with this head. One strange thing about the inputs...it has what appears to be a low and high input, but there's a BIG difference between the two, like an active boost on the high input.

Its in fantastic working order. Fantastic build quality, no problems whatsoever.

Ok guys, also up for sale is my faithful Ibanez Cabinet Loaded with 4x12's. Very heavy and Large cab that can withstand a nuclear bomb ((not garentueed))

Selling due to the fact i cannot keep a stack anymore thanks to mother:S

It can be used with different OHM ratings and it can be used as a MONO OR STEREO cab.

Fantastic sound quality, never had a problem, Have checked all the wiring and the connections are all solid. The speakers are rated for over 100 watts

Great quality, with only one Rip in the cab. £150

  14. So an EQ pedal would really make that much difference then the EQ on the amp itself? I dont know it seems to be like im fighting the guitar and really trying very hard to get bone chilling crunch.

I do have a DOD yngwie pedal as well which i use though it doesant give me the correct sound that i want. ((gives me a great malmsteen tone but i want death metal crunch))

Would replacing the harmonix with KT66's Make much difference to the gain?

Also, how easy would it be to add another gain pre amp stage to my amp?

    rob

  15. {hey guys. Basically i have just purchased a Randall RG50TV all valve amp. I would like to change all the Valves to something more substantial. as the Electro harmonix tubes inside are pretty subpar.

I want tubes that will give the most amount of gain and that are readily available commerically.

    I need 3 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 EL34 poweramp tubes.

Also another question. This amp is built as a meduim gain amp. Ok for early 80s metal But not much else. WHat decides the amount of gain in the amp? Is it a single component? Is it the Valves? Is it possible for the example to increase the gain through a safe mod of the electronics?

    Rob
